Bleh, Orton is the epitome of medicore to me personally. Meh wrestling (Outside of the RKO which I mark for no matter who does it), medicore promos (Though his opening promo this monday was better than usual), and he's apart of one of the blander stables I've seen in awhile. I can see why people think he's the shit, but personally he doesn't do it for me.

i love ho the Orton fans seem to think if you don't like him you are a blind hater or just a iwc smark. I love how non-fans of anyone pretend that every fan of a person is some blind Kool-aid drinking fanboy. It's funny how your claims of Orton fans could very easily be applied to fans of any number of performers, or even to those who dislike them. As for Hardy and his drug problems, the fact that he failed the test right before Wrestlemania where all newz reports showed him to be on the eve of the biggest push of his career has contributed to it. It's no one's fault but his own. He's been given plenty of changes as well, so you can't really sit there and pretend that he gets unfairly criticized. RVD was caught smoking weed and driving. I'm not going to make light of anyone who was driving under the influence. Orton's big thing was his tormenting Diva's back stage, and it was brought up a long time after he did it. I haven't seen it lately, but it's hardly forgotten. He has had major attitude problems in the back. For not having two strikes, if the reports about Kendrick are true, they don't give strikes for marijuana use, which is what he said he was doing. Can't really compare it to the reports about Kendrick, as those are rather recent. i neve said anything about driking the kool aid ok Jeff was stupid.but alot of the guys here don't give him a second chance, with names like druggie and drug addled thrown about, but hey..its ok to mock addicts and to villify em instead of trying to forgive was it proved it was RVD under he influence, only that you could smell it from the car (Sabu coulda been the one smoking) ? once again why not forgive an honest mistake in judgement? it seems we are told to forgive Orton because hes NOT a stereotypical internet fanboy fav?

You didn't say it, but that's exactly how you're presenting fans. For Hardy, he's been fired once for it and has two more strikes. There were plenty of people who accepted him getting title runs and being given multiple chances, but there are people that aren't going to forget that he's one strike away from being fired and think he's too big of a risk given that. I'm not among them, but he's not on his second chance anymore, he's well past that. I rarely ever hear about RVD's arrest. RVD pleaded guilty to marijuana possession, and could have been fired for that, but wasn't (any performer lower on the card would have been). Even then, I don't hear harp on it at all unless it's in relation to him blowing his title run with it. And as I said before, people harped on Orton's backstage transgressions as much as anyone else's. The difference is that he's being praised more for his work than he was in the past now because some people are actually starting to like him, which seems to annoy some people to a degree it obviously shouldn't. No one is telling you to "forgive him" or anything else, and that's certainly not to be implied by the fact that people have changed their stance on him as of late.

I don't care if Orton smokes babies and eats heroin, he's not interesting to me on television. His tattoo's freak me out, I swear he's the guy from that crappy Elektra movie. Every promo has the same monotone delivery, just now it's supposed to be more impressive because it's CRAZY monotone. His wrestling is just ALL a set-up for his preperation for the RKO, it's not even about the move anymore but his punchey push-ups and the stare down.
Also not a fan of Team Bromance, they keep saying Cody is getting better but he just seems to be doing intensive grimacing excersizes. Ted left because of a cranium punt and came back without the slight charisma he had when he left.
All in all just NOT into them and it has nothing to do with what they do outside the WWE. Just like Jeff Hardy. I like his in ring work and I think he's exciting, yeah he's screwed up but it's not MY decision to say what he's earned, it's WWE's. Same as Orton, I can't demand he not be a maineventer, but I don't have to enjoy it.

And that's perfectly fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I think it's ostentatious to try to shoehorn all of either group into blind fanboys or bashers because of it.

The Age of Orton is upon us aslong as he's got back up in the form of his two clones.
He is a decent heel but he isnt the next coming of christ like alot on here seem to think.
Do you really think he'd have won the Rumble if Batista didnt go down with an injury as we all know Batista vs Cena was being lined up.

I'm going to go out on a massive limb here and say the reason they are doing this is to make Orton seem like he has enough good qualities that they can turn him face without changing his character too much. Because his character is what makes him. And they are doing this because they are preparing for a double turn at Mania, with Cena going heel. I actually briefly had that thought soon after the Rumble, but just dismissed it because I didn't think WWE would have the balls to do it in a tough financial year with Cena's merchandise numbers and how over he is with the kids. There's also nothing to indicate how Cena would go in heel direction at the moment, and it would complicate what they would do when Batista returns. But I guess by then they'll have had a Draft to shake things up for his return. If Orton-Cena became like Austin-Bret I would be hugely impressed at them being able to pull that off, but I'm not holding my breath on that one with the way things are going. I too have been thinking this and wanted to commend wrestlecrapcrap on his post. It will be a hard financial year, but you don't make money without taking risks and I think that it's one worth taking with Hardy and other faces like CM Punk slowly becoming more promininant to pick up the slack on the merch front. For what it's worth also, there was a moment or two in the last few JBL/HBK matches that have had heelish Cena spots. Wrestlemania 25 has to be memorable, this could be one of the reasons why.
