Why did he carry that around? I'm watching some older hardcore title segments and I noticed at a press comfrence thing, he's carry around that white scale. What did it mean?

Because his and Hardcore's old gimmick was that they were "super heavyweights" and brought a scale around to prove their weight.

He used to say he was a Super-Heavyweight. I think the scales were rigged to say he was 500lbs or something.

From good ol' Wikipedia...
Lockwood debuted as Crash Holly, the on-screen cousin of Bob "Hardcore" Holly (Robert Howard), on the August 16 episode of Raw is War in 1999.[2] The relationship between the on-screen cousins was strained, with Hardcore frequently threatening Holly.[1] He was often seen carrying a weighing scale when he took on the gimmick of claiming himself to be well over 400 lbs, along with Hardcore, so that they would be considered hea

There was some foolish people around at that time who dared question his super-heavyweight status.
It was to shut up the doubters.

with Hardcore frequently threatening Holly I got to that and had to stop. The image of Hardcore looking into a mirror and threatening to kick his own ass is too much for me.

Didn't it also have something to do with the fact that they would only wrestle other super heavyweights as well?

I always hated that Crash was Light Heavyweight Champ. He was well over 400 pounds.

Didn't it also have something to do with the fact that they would only wrestle other super heavyweights as well? I'm sure I can remember them weighing their potential opponents, and finding them too lightweight and pantywaisted to bother with. Crash Holly was great.

Many moons ago I was watching Sunday Night Heat while my Mom kinda watched from a corner of her eye while doing laundry. Hardcore Holly came out and they announced him as "well over 400 pounds". My mom was like "400 pounds?! It must be all muscle cause he doesn't have an ounce of fat on him!" It was difficult to explain.

I remember when they faced Rikishi and Viscera in a Superheavyweight tag match or something like that.
