I really, really think we may be seeing the end of the brand extension with the economic crisis. And I know that may sound like a cop out, but it seems plausible in my mind. I really think one of the reasons we have the brand extension is just so WWE can have a stacked roster, rather than consolidate and let TNA pick up some of the roster. Im not a TNA fan or anything but I think sometimes the reason WWE has so many people that go unused is just so TNA can't gain any talent. The last thing WWE needs, is another title. I'd imagine they make more money with two touring shows than they do with one., so not likely. Of course from the mid-eighties through the early nineties, they used to do three touring shows without the brand extension. The "A" show would be headlined by the World title, the "B" show would be headlined by either the IC, Tag, or occasionally, the Women's title, and the "C" show would be headlined by either an upper card non-title feud, or by one of the titles not headlining the "B" show. They could still do multiple shows without having the brand extension, all they need to do is make the other championships and divisions mean something again.

Bring back the S.H.I.T title from WCW (Saskatchewan Hardcore Invitational Title) and have it defended only in hardcore matches. and have Lance Storm brought in as champion. "If I can be serious for a moment....." Or perhaps Rosey...

I like the TV title idea. Defended each week.

Well considering that the World Tag Belts are the original Federation tag team titles, I would rather not see that happen. Instead, I'm hoping that they bring back the Cruiserweight championship. Especially with the steroid scandal going on.
The only problem with this scenario is that McMahon would never bring back the sort of international division that WCW had, because he has this idea in his head that everyone has to be able to do a song on a dance on the mic, and that's NOT what made the cruiserweight division successful.
This is the one thing that just frustrates me about WWE. They won't bring in the sort of wrestlers that could make the division hot again.

Tazz gets pissed off one day, takes Haas from Raw and teams him up with Burchill from Smackdown. He creates the FTW tag belts, outfits them in Orange and Black hooded training robes and has these guys destroy everyone in their path with curb stomps, exploder suplexes, C-4s, and the Haas of Pain spouting "Who can stop the path of rage?!?".. nah, never happen...

He was stating that he believes the current economic crisis would give them a reason to end the brand extension in a cost-cutting move. I was stating that I believed having two touring groups would make them more money, thus providing no financial incentive.

I'd mark out for that. I liked the Taz storyline in SDvsRAW2K9.

TV title would be nice.
3rd Tag belts? They shouldn't even have 2. Eric Bischoff is mad that they even have any.

This isn't confirmed, this is just their typical "Oh what will happen?" story. This.

TV title would be nice. 3rd Tag belts? They shouldn't even have 2. Eric Bischoff is mad that they even have any. They could unify the WWE and World tag titles, and I wouldn't care. I could tolerate two tag belts if the brand extension actually meant something. But the fact that there are crossovers all the time, and championships could land on different shows, I would just as soon have only one set of tag belts. You know what else needs to go? The Diva Belt. The TV Title would indeed be nice. Like the Cruiserweight title, it's a midcard championship that actually had it's own dynamic, unlike the US and IC belts, which are just "World Champ Jr." belts. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a Television Championship replace the US Title. That's the one thing I actually liked about the overabundance of WCW belts. At least most of them meant something, even though they did try to give us such unnecessary belts as cruiserweight versions of the tag and womens championships. If I had it my way, though, I would just end the brand extension and have lots of unification matches. Yes, I would hate to see the Big Gold Belt go (although, it would be neat if WWE kept it as their title belt), but it doesn't mean anything anyway if you have three world champions, and anyone can jump to any show at any time. The belts themselves don't even necessarily represent the shows on which they appear, since they've been swapped in two of the drafts already.

A WWE TV Championship is not a new idea. Wrestling magazines have occassionaly mentioned the idea since the late 80's. I actually would try a tag title for ECW. One things people forget about is that WCW actually had great U.S. Tag champions from Freebirds, Midnight Express, Fantastics and the Steiners. During the Nitro years, I thought WCW should have brought that title back. The U.S> Tag team Titles would be what I want to see.

I'd mark out for that. I liked the Taz storyline in SDvsRAW2K9. I don't really play the games; what was the storyline about? He got pissed off that Punk was champ and he got Elijah Burke to take him out and in the title for him. At WM it was Dreamer & Punk vs Burke & Tazz in an extreme rules match.
