Eddie's death was sad, but he accomplished a ton of stuff. Hardcore never got a chance to live up to his potential, and it's unlikely that he'll ever get a chance to do so now. I guess I'll go with Holly, just because Eddie got to live his dream of spraying poop on the Big Show, but what was Holly's big moment?

Is this a serious question? A sudden death is gonna impact way more than a release

Wonder if this guy is going to overdo it like so many other gimmick posters before him. I see there's a similar thread on the TNA forum, so one can only hope so.

Hardcore Holly is a fly on a wall compared to Eddie Guerrero being the charisma lighting up the room.

Eddie Guerrero, without a doubt. His death still saddens me to do this day. I can't watch any tributes to him without tearing up.

Kinda watching Owen die at Over the Edge '99.
Then Benoit.
Then Eddie.
Thurman Sparky Plugg doesn't rank.

In the words of Bobby Heenan, comparing Eddie's death to Holly's firing is to compare ice cream to horse manure.

While Eddie > Holly all day, Eddie wouldn't be half as beloved if he hadn't died. Sorry. I just wonder how many people would be all "RIP Bob Holly I never appreciated him like I should, what a loyal veteran he was, he was good for the business" if he died tomorrow.

Gosh, someone I loved to watch DYING compared to someone I couldn't stand simply being fired. Gee, I wonder.
This thread makes you look like an ass, by the way.

Eddie by leaps and bounds... I remember I had just dropped my gf at the time at grand central station and i was running to get her a ticket when a buddy of mine sent me text saying Eddie Guerrero Died! It felt like everythin in the station had stopped it was so sad. I remember going to a house show before his death and he was the only wrestler (other then flair) who would have chants going for him before the event started. This effected me more the benoit and more then anything other than Owen.

It's fair to say that Holly was apparently a dick to some other wrestlers, (Even come off the wrong side of what happened with Lesnar if rumours about the powerbomb are true,) but Eddie was in his fair share of scrapes and had his drug problems that seem to see the light everytime someone talks about him. The only difference is, It seemed Holly was happy just collecting a pay cheque because he knew that there was no way he could be the top guy, but Eddie took his problems and eventually overcame them, becoming almost the top guy and maybe the most-loved guy on the roster at the time of his death. After the initial shock left, you had to realise wrestling had lost one of its best, a guy with an entire background in wrestling due to his family and his nomadic trail to the top of maybe the biggest wrestling company in the world. That is something to respect, he knew he had problems but he overcame them in such a way, you could never (and still can't,) dismiss Eddies accomplishments.
Also, a guy losing his life and leaving behind a wife and young children at the height of his career is a mountain compared to hill Holly has to overcome to get a job somewhere else in TNA or wherever. Holly was in the WWE over 15 years, he is probably set for life, (He should be anyway,) & he can go on living comfortably. I don't miss Eddie the man, I didn't know him, but I do miss the performer in Guerrerro, as entertaining in a matter of hardcore as Holly could be, there is no contest.
Joke or not, this is a bit sad to ask man, some people still feel really sad about Eddie. Holly is a wrestlecrap fad, and it shouldnt be used against the death of a person.
