Bulldog vs HBK and Taker vs Bret were really good matches. HBK got mad HEAT of that win!

I was there live too, the crowd was red hot all night, and this is probably the best UK WWF PPV they've ever done. The ending of the main event had the most heat i've ever seen live - www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO8CRYea7nQThat and the title match were excellent matches.

Wasn't that the Bulldog/Shawn match where Davey Boy dedicated the match to his dying sister - then lost (and apparently he knew all along he was going to lose, which made people wonder why he dedicated it to her in the first place)?

Yes that's the same one, his sister was pointed out in the front row of the crowd as well. Vince was probably giving Bret a message about losing in his home country with the whole thing.

Taker vs Bret was brilliant.
Two of my faves tearing it up, doesn't get much better!

I heard something that HHH and HBK were on or influencing the booking committee at this point and did this to crap on the UK fans.... obviously, I'm not buying into that too much but can anyone confirm or deny this?

Apparently Vince wanted to send a message to Bret about losing in his home country as Montreal was coming up a few weeks later.

I went a long time without seeing Taker Vs. Bret since it wasn't on the US VHS release of the show.
But, I finally saw it on The Undertaker DVD (Or Bret DVD, I don't remember) and it was excellent.

Second best PPV ever done in the UK with SummerSlam 1992 obviously the best (well, IMO anyway).

I actually missed this show when it first came around. Shawn got amazing heel heat from what I eventually saw of it.

Vintage Collection sounds like such a cool show. It's too bad we don't get it in the US.

If there's any UK fans up late for Raw, then this episode of Vintage is on Sky Sports 3 just now.

Bret vs. Taker from this is INCREDIBLE. Yep, it's actually much stronger than the Summerslam match in my opinion.
