Minus World? MissingNO.? Swordless Link? Blue Hell? Post all your favorites here.
I got the idea for this topic as I was playing God of War last night. Like all true warriors, I play this thing on the Spartan (Hard) difficulty ("God" difficulty wasn't available since this is my first time playing the game), mostly because I figured it wouldn't be any more difficult than Ninja Gaiden on Normal (which I can beat without dying a single time).
Even though I totally, completely and utterly suck and fail at this game (I should have just picked Normal), mostly all went well... until I got Poseidon's Trident, swam through a tunnel, crushed a couple of walls on the way and proceeded to get mauled to death by approximately 53,594 adorable Cerberus puppies as soon as I surfaced... this happened about eight times in a row. I got annoyed at the "Press this and this button to do stuff" tutorials you get every time you load the previous checkpoint (as you can't move while they're appearing), so I decided to go smash the walls and then go back to save the game.
I went to fight the horrible man-eating puppies again and got my ass handed to me once more, loading the recently saved checkpoint. I swam through the tunnel again and all the walls were gone like I wanted them to be... and so were the Cerberus. That's right, no monsters appeared and I was easily able to reach the lever on the other side of the room.
Quite a strange glitch, but at least I no longer wanted to throw my controller into the wall at that point.

I don't know of too many specific glitches, but I've always been fairly amused by the raining T-Rex glitch from Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues for SNES.

In WCW Nitro, yes I know, from time to time you would go for a move and then be transported to the opposite side of the ring, but you would unleash your latent telekinetic abilities and your opponent would be slammed by an unearthly invisible force.

I was playing that new Watchmen game yesterday, and my Rosarch flew into the air above the level and died.

MOST. GLITCHES. EVER!
Also on one of the SmackDown! games, with certain characters you could keep going higher and higher into the air, climbing up invisible surfaces. But then if you went too high, you just fell down and got pinned pretty easily.

One of my favorites was fighting 2 Dr. Robotniks in Marble Garden Zone 2 in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Worst: That GOD DAMN MOTHER F***ING SPIKE DUDLEY "Head Attack" in a couple of SD games that once it hit you anything done after it was 100% unblockable, leading to the most frustrating online gaming experiences EVER. Seriously. Matches with 50 of these headbutts in a row followed by a finisher and you never even got to move once.

The most annoying was the WWF NOMercy glitch almost comptly ruined one of the best wrestling games of all time. Agreed And it still messes with it to this day. Try buying a copy used without the glitch and you will see exactly what I mean. The owner of the store I go to, "Gameco" (who also acts as the clerk from 11 to about 4 or 5) said there was some number on the cart that verifies it or not, and he will not take any glitched copies. On the plus side, you go in to snag a copy and you know it's glitch free. I might need to ask him that question. He's gone through so many games it's nuts.

So am I, like, the ONLY one who bought No Mercy on launch day and it was completely glitch free?
