I imagine they drank, fought, and f***ed in Hyborea. And I'm fairly certain that one of them got copious amounts of tail and pissed off the ancient gods since I'm being punished as one of his ancestors ... ;D
Oh, that reminds me. When I started shaving my head years ago, people remarked about a mark I had on the side of my head, wondering what it was. I guess it's a birthmark, but I told them that it was the mark of Cain. They'd look at me with a really confused look on their faces, and I'd explain that all of Cain's descendants bore this mark.

My ancient ancestors could beat up your ancient ancestors.
I don't know a lot about it but one of my ancestors was basically a pirate. I think he was involved in a plan to rescue Napoleon from exile but Napoleon died.

My ancestors were hairy primates who sat in trees and threw their own feces at eachother
The scary part is that this happened in the 19th century

I wish I knew more about my ancestors, but most families lost their history when they became Americans because they were too busy adjusting and working to keep oral traditions alive, and most imagrents didn't have writen history and heirlooms to take with them. I think it's understandable to be facinated by thoughts of one's anssestors. People used to live with their ancestry as a daily consideration... Europian families had various traditions, symbols, a homeland, and the Japanese forinstance traditionaly have a practice of ancestor warship.
I think Americans and many modern youths in other countries as well have lost their conection to the past. It's a shame.

For the most part, landed in jail a lot. I think me and my brother are the first generation of my family that hasn't done time.

My last name translates to General in latin. So I'm thinking they were in the army. That or they were crazy Germans or Scots (my actual ancestory) that said whoa cool word and took it for their own.

I've often wondered about my family's history. It's one thing to look via your last name, or mother's maiden name, but I'm more interested in recent history (great, great, great grandparents type stuff) first, then I might want to dig back further than that. Most of my family has pasted on, literally all that is left is my Aunt and Uncle on my father's side and their children (2 cousins) and my cousins children (5 2nd cousins). The rest of my family has passed on, or I never met them (on my mother's side). It's sort of sad to think that... ack - early morning downer!
