I really, really dislike the shifting aspect ratio.

It is because of the scenes filmed in Imax. Not every scene was. The ones that were are in a different aspect ratio. I am fine with it myself.

I'm fine with it, but thats the only positive the DVD has going for it, is the consistent 2:40.

The real annoying thing is holding out for the 'Super Mega Ultra Deluxe' edition. I drool at the thought of what could be on that.

Yeah, IMAX screens. Kinda of an odd thing to do, jump back and forth.
Ah well.

Was a bit confusing at times, but I wasn't too troubled by it.

I'm more bothered by how Godawful the transfer is. You know there's trouble when the streaming on-line trailer looked better than your disc does.

It's only jarring when it cuts into a scene. Like, the whole truck bashup chase for Harvey Dent stays in the big IMAX format and it's fine. But when you're watching the Joker talking to Harvey in the hospital in regular widescreen, then get a huge shot of Bruce Wayne's car for two seconds, it's a little unnecessary.
