Well, I've been wanting to do a tournament for a while since my last music one, but cageking got to doing the new music ones first. So I decided to go with another love of mine, possibly my greatest love, movies! More specificly, the monsters of the cinema! The very ones that give us the chills and make us fear the dark. The ones that make you wonder if that was just a floor board creaking... or your impending doom.
What I'll do is when we have all the candidates I'll put up a new poll every day, who ever has the most votes at the end of the match is the victor and moves onto the next round.
Here are the nomination rules:
1) Can be from a non-horror movie as long as it's a Monster.
2) Can be a human as long as they're the villian in a Horror movie or Horror-Thriller (Seven for instance).
3) Different incarnations of the same character count as seperate nominees (for example, Legosi's and Lee's Draculas would be two entries). However, the same incarnation of a character rather played by the same actor or not is just one entry (example would be Jason).
4) Nominate as many as you want, and from as obscure a movie as you want (though I may hit you up in PM for help verifying it if it's to obscure)! Let's have some fun!

One admedment. No Kaiju/Godzilla monster stuff. Sorry, but that's just not the kind of stuff I'm looking for.

My big hope out of the nominations is to get some lost gems, forgotten treasures or even laughably awesome jobbers. We all know the Jasons, Myers and Kruegers. I want to see what else people remember.  |

Either way you'd like, though if you do post them here it may be helpful to me to also PM them. Also, I will allow Bruce the Shark. When I say Godzilla type, I meant more of those Sci-Fi, giant monster vs giant monster or giant robot types. Hmm... What's the rule on zombies? Could I pick an extra special zombie like Bub from Day of the Dead? If you'd like to nominate zombies, please pick out special ones that stand out. Tar Man or Bub would be examples of zombies I'd allow. |

The list I PM'd earlier will be mine - I believe I have a good mix of iconic slashers as well as some semi-obscure ones on there that don't spring immediately to everyone's mind.
The only ones I'd like to add to that list are Farmer Vincent from Motel Hell and Alex from the original Prom Night. Oh, and Dr. Elliott from Dressed to Kill...and speaking of De Palma, of course, Carrie herself...and, oh, hell, I could be here all night.
