We have reached Round 33!
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
*Last time Kyle Rayner confronted Deathstroke on his cargo plane. Quick as a flash Rayner conjures a force bubble out of his green lantern ring. Deathstroke dodges the beam but sidesteps into a rather large green lantern energy octopus. Deathstroke is soon entangled and in the melee rolls out of the cargo plane onto the airstrip. As he looks up he sees a blonde girl atteneding to tony Stark who is propped up against a tree.*
Deathstroke: Thats not possi ...
*Kyle Rayner smashes his fist into Deathstrokes face knocking him out*
Kyle Rayner: Damn, his head is hard. You ok over there Claire?
Claire Bennet: Yep no problem, my blood worked fine Tony will be fit and able in no time.
Kyle Rayner: Good, I'm going to take Slade, find out what he knows about this Legion and then drop him off in prison. You going to be fine here until the helicopter arrives?
Claire: Sure
*Kyle flys off with Deathstroke as Claire tries to get Tony Stark to drink something.*
*Will we follow the Kyle Rayner or Claire Bennet side of the story?*
Kyle Rayner - Green Lantern (DC)
Before he acquired a Green Lantern power ring, Kyle Rayner was a struggling-but-gifted freelance graphic artist. He lived and worked in Los Angeles. After Hal Jordan, grief-stricken over the destruction of his home town of Coast City, went on a mad rampage killing the members of the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe Rayner was found by the last surviving Guardian Ganthet. He was given the last Green Lantern power ring that would allow him to conjure any form of matter or energy through sheer force of will. Ganthet's reasons for choosing Kyle to bear the ring have never been made completely apparent, aside from Rayner having been in the right place at the right time: prior to bequeathing the ring upon Rayner, Ganthet simply utters, "You will have to do." Rayner then moved to New York City. His girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, helped Kyle train for his new role as a superhero, but was later murdered by the supervillain Major Force. Kyle developed relationships with Donna Troy, and later Jade, the daughter of Alan Scott. Kyle grew up enamored with Superman and Batman, though had only a passing knowledge of Earth's various Green Lanterns. This soon changed, and he found that the Green Lantern ring was the ultimate expression of his fertile imagination. While in battle, he often used the ring's power to create constructs of just about anything his artistic mind could imagine: other superheroes, anime characters, mystical characters, mechas, futuristic weapons and original characters from his comic books. While some questioned the practicality of those constructs, they often made Kyle an unpredictable and formidable opponent. As a Green Lantern, Kyle is semi-invulnerable, capable of projecting hard light constructions, flight, and utilizing various other abilities through his power ring which are only limited by his imagination and willpower. Kyle's constructs are much more elaborate than those of any other Green Lanterns, often fading into view like a sketch refined into an illustration. Eventually, he is able to utilize his skill as an artist to manipulate the pigments within his constructs, making them appear realistically that even Alan Scott were amazed of what Kyle can do with his ring's creations. When bonded with the benevolent Ion symbiote, Kyle as Ion is capable of much more elaborate usage of his imagination which can extend to the manipulation of reality. In possession of the more sinister Parallax entity, Kyle is theoretically capable of similar feats to Ion.
vs
Claire Bennet
Otherwise known as The Cheerleader in Heroes, Claire lived a normal suburban lifestyle in Odessa, Texas, until her ability manifested and her entire world was effectively turned upside down. Initially keeping it a secret, Claire's power was eventually exposed after her experiments with testing her ability's limits were discovered. Because Claire was actually being monitored for years by The Company, she was forced to go into hiding with her family from Company agents seeking to make Claire the subject of brutal biological experimentation into her ability. Recently, Claire and her family have come out of hiding. On a personal level, Claire loves her adoptive family very much, but still remained curious about her origins, until she finally discovered her biological parents and the rest of her extended family. Claire has a kind, yet courageous, nature, but for a time was insecure about her abilities, leading her to be insensitive. With time, Claire accepted her power. Her ability is considered to be the most valuable and powerful in the world, and as such Claire, and by extension her family, has been targeted by villainous individuals seeking to acquire it. Claire exhibits the power of rapid cell regeneration, a trait that allows her to recover from almost any injury in a matter of seconds. She also feels relatively little pain from even serious injuries, including burns and compound fractures, although she did grimace when her hand was damaged while retrieving a class ring from a running garbage disposal. Apparently, Claire cannot heal an injury if a foreign object is obstructing the wound such as a strick in her head or a bullet to the back of the skull. It is heavily suggested that Claire's blood will heal any wound in any person if it is introduced into their system. She is the daughter of Nathan Petrelli and meredith Gordon but was raised and is a part of the Noah Bennet family.
