Despite not having too much action, I think this season is off to a much better start than season 6.

The husband of the President is called the First Gentleman? Wow, if that doesn't make you sound like a wuss, I don't know what does.

I thought for sure "Tony" was going to be his twin brother.... but from reading this, I guess I was wrong.

Well I think they handled the return of Tony really well, they explained his survival in a way that made sense. I also like that that the action isnt whats taking center stage here, its more story driven so far. The one thing I dont get so far is that guy complaining about his son's death...but I guess it will be explained.

So far, it seems WAY better than last season, which was turrible for the most part, IMHO.

I think since they caught Tony so fast, it's gonna be one of those "its bigger than you really think" type of deals.
I must say, I think this is the first time 24 has tackled technological infrastructure. Every season seemed to be "there's a bomb somewhere!"

All very good so far, and I'm convinced about Tony as a heel. Still not sure why the President's son is suddenly dead, wasn't he alive and well in Redemption?

can someone tell me about Tony? I think the last episode I saw was literally the one where he died.

can someone tell me about Tony? I think the last episode I saw was literally the one where he died. EMTs carried Tony out of CTU with Jack believing he was dead. Hours later, Jack was kidnapped by the Chinese, and after having got out and gone through all the events of Day 6, had not heard anything from Tony. Having been "betrayed" by the government, and blaming President Logan for the death of his wife Michelle, Tony joined a terrorist group to target the government and the citizens of the US.

All very good so far, and I'm convinced about Tony as a heel. Still not sure why the President's son is suddenly dead, wasn't he alive and well in Redemption? He was but his friend had told him of some information that would implicate an evil grey haired man who I believe was providing weapons to the evil General in Sengala?! I'm guessing he dug deeper once his friend was killed, which is what was ordered in Redemption (though I don't think you saw the killing) and eventually he was murdered as well , though it must have been made to look like suicide.

My pal and I have been discussing it
With me having always sensed a heel turn in Tony due to his tiny goatee and with him graduating to a full goatee for his heel turn, my friend and I feel the only way he could have avoided capture would be to have a full blown beard........Only logical way to look at it
Also, with them borrowing Die Hard 2 & 4 plots I fully expect a heist in a plaza and a heist on the US Gold Reserve
..........All joking aside, I really enjoyed the 2 episodes

Less action than prior openers, but pretty good. If this trend keeps up tonights block of 24 will kind of conclude this as a mini series and the real storyline will begin next week
