We have reached Round 34!
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
*We rejoin our story with Kyle Rayner leaving Deathstroke to the authorities, while Claire bennet remianed on the island to look after Tony stark. Kyle is now flying through the sky and heading to Doctor Fates place as he is now aware of the Legions plan to steal the Amulet of Anubis. As Kyle patrols the sky he hears a cry of panic*
Person: Help! Help!
*Kyle flies down and lands next to the person who seems to be terrified beyond reason*
Kyle Rayner: What has happened, are you alright?
Person: It got little Emma, it got her and my gran too!!! The Horror!! the Horror!! Ahhhhh!
*Kyle can't quite understand what this man is so terrified of when everything becomes very still, the light seems to to die and the world becomes that much more dark and cold.*
Voice: You do not fear me?
Kyle Rayner: How can I fear what I have not seen? Show yourself!
Vocie: Very well.
*The ground weeps a black ooze and out from this rises a demonic creature that is almost entirely black.*
Blackheart: Does your heart now not tremble, does your very sense of living not crumble into dust? This city is mine hero, these people will be my slaves for torment in eternity and you will now join them or die!
Kyle Ryaner: Never!
*Kyle Rayner unleashes a volley of lantern ring energy but Blackheart swats it away. Blackheart in turn flings an energy blast of his own as little imp like flying creatures attack Kyle.*
*Can Kyle Rayner stop Blackhearts evil?*
Kyle Rayner - Green Lantern (DC)
Before he acquired a Green Lantern power ring, Kyle Rayner was a struggling-but-gifted freelance graphic artist. He lived and worked in Los Angeles. After Hal Jordan, grief-stricken over the destruction of his home town of Coast City, went on a mad rampage killing the members of the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe Rayner was found by the last surviving Guardian Ganthet. He was given the last Green Lantern power ring that would allow him to conjure any form of matter or energy through sheer force of will. Ganthet's reasons for choosing Kyle to bear the ring have never been made completely apparent, aside from Rayner having been in the right place at the right time: prior to bequeathing the ring upon Rayner, Ganthet simply utters, "You will have to do." Rayner then moved to New York City. His girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, helped Kyle train for his new role as a superhero, but was later murdered by the supervillain Major Force. Kyle developed relationships with Donna Troy, and later Jade, the daughter of Alan Scott. Kyle grew up enamored with Superman and Batman, though had only a passing knowledge of Earth's various Green Lanterns. This soon changed, and he found that the Green Lantern ring was the ultimate expression of his fertile imagination. While in battle, he often used the ring's power to create constructs of just about anything his artistic mind could imagine: other superheroes, anime characters, mystical characters, mechas, futuristic weapons and original characters from his comic books. While some questioned the practicality of those constructs, they often made Kyle an unpredictable and formidable opponent. As a Green Lantern, Kyle is semi-invulnerable, capable of projecting hard light constructions, flight, and utilizing various other abilities through his power ring which are only limited by his imagination and willpower. Kyle's constructs are much more elaborate than those of any other Green Lanterns, often fading into view like a sketch refined into an illustration. Eventually, he is able to utilize his skill as an artist to manipulate the pigments within his constructs, making them appear realistically that even Alan Scott were amazed of what Kyle can do with his ring's creations. When bonded with the benevolent Ion symbiote, Kyle as Ion is capable of much more elaborate usage of his imagination which can extend to the manipulation of reality. In possession of the more sinister Parallax entity, Kyle is theoretically capable of similar feats to Ion.
vs
Blackheart
Blackheart is a powerful demon of the highest order, created by Mephisto, probably from the essence of Darkforce. He possesses vast inherent supernatural powers, including superhuman strength, speed, and endurance which are magical in nature. He's totally invulnerable to anything except the most powerful forces in the universe. He also has telekinetic and telepathic powers, and can levitate, teleport inter-dimensionally, change his size and physical form, enter and leave different planes of existence and dimensions at will, heal himself at the sub-molecular level, and has the ability to generate various forms of energies for destructive purposes such as powerful concussive blasts of black energy. He also possesses very high intelligence that makes him near-omniscient. Unlike his father, he can capture a soul against the will of the person he is stealing it from. Blackheart has demonstrated the ability to control millions of minds at once while in Hell, as he is able to call forth armies from the pits. He has also shown his telekinetic powers by ripping an entire planet apart by the force of will. Blackheart is also able to control Darkforce Energy without any limits. He can teleport himself and others to the Darkforce Dimension where he is literally omnipotent and omniscient. His ability to regenerate makes him virtually immortal. His powers are immense making him one of the most powerful demonic entities in Marvel Universe. Usually he is in confrontation with ghost Rider but he has crossed paseed with many Marvel heroes ranging from Spider-man to the Punisher, whilst his goals are very often linked with taking over from his father Mephisto.
