We have reached Round 37!
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
*Previously Zatanna had found herself in San Fransisco and had been offered help from Iceman*
Zatanna: Where would you be taking me to get this help Iceman?
Iceman: Why to Professor X. He's one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet. He'll find your guy no trouble.
*Iceman asks Zatanna to hold on as he ice slides his way to the mansion. They slide through the city curving up and around buildings. They pass the San Francisco base of the Fantastic Four and we see The Human Torch sitting on a sofa watching TV. Iceman and Zatanna continue on.*
Iceman: So whats this all about? Who's threatening this Doctor Fate?
Zatanna: We are not sure yet who is after him but they have hired a wide variety of Supervillains. They call themselves The Legion
Arclight: For we are many!
*Arclight slams her hands together and shatters the ice slide, Zatanna is knocked away in the impact and slams into a building like a GTA 4 protaganist. Iceman recovers and curves towards Arclight.*
Iceman: For we are many? How original. I'm putting you on ice Arclight!
Arclight: Please, enough with the Arnold Shwarzenagger impersonations Iceman, now die!
*It's Iceman vs Arclight!?*
Iceman
Robert Drake was born in Floral Park, New York, Long Island, New York, to William Robert Drake and Madeline Beatrice Bass-Drake. Bobby's powers first manifest when he is on a date with Judy Harmon, and a local bully by the name of Rocky Beasely tries to take Judy away for himself. Knowing Judy cannot put up a good fight, Bobby points his hand at Beasely and encases him in a block of ice. Later, the local townspeople, having heard of the incident, come looking for him in the form of an angry mob. The local sheriff has no choice but to put Bobby in jail for his own "protection". While Bobby sits in his cell at the sheriff station, the outer wall is blown open, and a man named Scott Summers (Cyclops) walks in and offers to take Bobby with him. After Bobby turns him down, the two mutants get into a short battle, which is soon ended by Professor Charles Xavier. After Xavier has sat down and talked with Bobby and his parents, Bobby's parents suggest that he go with Professor Xavier to his "school for gifted youngsters". Bobby takes the suggestion and leaves with Professor Xavier and Cyclops to become the second member of the X-Men. He is later joined by Henry "Hank" McCoy, Jean Grey, and Warren Worthington III as the charter members of the X-Men. A mutant, Iceman has the ability of cryokinesis where he can freeze anything around him and can also turn his body into ice. Although he is an Omega-level mutant, Drake has yet to tap his full mutant potential. He has, however, begun to take more interest over the years in developing his abilities. One of the original X-Men, Iceman has had a frequent presence in X-Men (and Spider-Man)-related comics, video games, animated series, and movies.
vs
Arclight
A Marvel mutant and supervillain, Arclight served with the American ground forces during the Vietnam War, and she is still haunted by memories of that place. She has redirected her rage into bodybuilding, which she uses to augment her mutant powers. Her mutant ability enables her to create shockwaves through physical contact, usually combined with her super strength in form of punches and blows. During a few of her appearances she has been shown to project a bright light upon impact of her hands. As a war veteran, she is well versed in battle, and is known as one of the most bloodthirsty members of the mutant massacring group, the Marauders. Her relationship with teammate Scalphunter has also made her second-in-command. During their first mission, Arclight kills dozens of underground-dwelling mutants known as Morlocks. Though the details of her recruitment by Mister Sinister to the Marauders remain unrevealed, she has participated in all of the group's major operations. Due to Sinister cloning the Marauders multiple times, it is hard to determine if the 'original' Arclight has been present in all of them. During Messiah CompleX in the final battle on Muir Isle, she is injured by Wolfsbane. Despite having been bitten in the neck, she seemingly survives as she is seen later being defeated by Rockslide. Arclight possesses the ability to generate seismic energies with her hands that cause shock waves and geo tremors. She also has superhuman strength, stamina, resiliency and durability.
