POSSIBLE LET THE RIGHT ONE IN SPOILERS! IF YOU DON'T WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED DON'T CLICK THE LINK. iconsoffright.com/news/2009/03/let_the_wrong_subtitles_in_to.htmlI mean you already have a movie with subtitles, that already steers away people who don't want to read while they're watching a movie, why would you DUMB THEM DOWN?! although some of the changes are pretty hilarious as you can see on the link. Thankfully the company releasing let the right one in is re-releasing the dvd with the theater subtitles.

And then they mock you mercilessly for complaining. from what I'm hearing that was someone over at the canadian distribution. EDIT: whoops, nevermind I read the icons of fright article before the consumerist article, I thought that was a response to a member of icons of fright from the canadian distributor, not an internal email that got leaked.

I watched the Blu-ray version about a week before it was released and it had the theatrical subtitles.
Weird.

So do people now bitch about subtitles without having a clue about how close they actually are to the lines delivered by the actors???
It turns out the "horrible" subtitles were closer to the original than the "better" ones...
BTW, now I want to watch this movie... and I'll try to see which subtitles are better.
