I'm trying to save money and keep fit.
I work 11 miles from home, currently I use public transport and walk the last 2 miles. So I walk 4 miles per day.
Do you think it would be feasale for me to cycle the full distance and back every day?
Bear in mind that I don't do any specific exercise currently except the 2 mile walk from the bus stop to work, and bear in mind that the route to work will be mostly urban along fairly busy main roads.
Do you think I could attempt this or will it be too much for me?

Does your public transportation service have bike racks?
If it does, start smaller. Take your bike, and bike those last two miles first. Then increaset the distance you bike as it becomes easier. Soon the 11 miles won't be a big deal.

No bike racks on the bus. I'm not sure if they allow you to take bike's on the bus. I'll have to look into that first.
thanks.

That's weird that there's no bike racks on the bus.
If they don't let you, I'd recommend then on your day off, biking the full distance to see what it's like. If it's no biggie, then go for it.
Otherwise just build up to it on your days off.

Yeah I think i'm going to do a practise run on my day off and see how that feels. It will give me an idea for timing too.
