I just got done using duck tape to repair my electric razor, and it really made me think about what an amazing product this stuff really is.
And yes, I know most people get snippy and call it "duct" tape because it sounds silly and there's a registered trademark called Duck Tape, but I read an article once that said WWII soldiers were the first to use duck tape and named it that due to its duck-like resistance to water. Plus, it really doesn't work that well on ducts. It will always be duck tape to me.
Three cheers for duck tape!

Is it true Duck Tape is made from Ducks? That's nothing but a crazy urban legend. It's made from geese. Canadian geese to be specific.

No lie, my wallet is completely made 100% out of duct tape and I've been using it for 5 years without having to re-tape any of it.

For the longest time, my office chair was covered in duct tape. I got it for $1.50 at the Salvation Army as the pleather was cracking and splitting. So I duct taped it up and put a t-shirt over the seat (that wore apart fairly quickly) and fastened an old flannel jacket over the arms that worked pretty well.
I passed it onto my bro after I got a better office chair for $10.

Duct Tape. Amazing for fixing things and a group of us using it to block up someone's door during the first year if uni.
