In June, we're going to California for a few days. We got tickets to Lego Land (which I am honestly not crazy about going) & Sea World. Plus we got a rental car & a nice hotel.
In doing research, I saw we can also fit in Universal Studios since it's off season for all the parks we go to & the latest one park is open is 7pm. So I figured we could do Universal Studios our first day, Sea World our second day, & Lego Land the day we leave since out flight is at like 7pm.
But no....my wife doesn't wanna go to Universal because she was there when she was like 12 & it didn't impress her. I pointed out that they have added rides since then (all they had was the backlot tour when she went). So I tried talking to my daughter to get her on my side. I pointed out that they have Dora, Diego, Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Alex from Madagascar, the Penguins of Madagascar, The Simpson, & Spongebob Squarepants. The Spongebob one seemed to sell her & get her all excited.
But alas, she betrayed me & said she wanted to go to the beach instead. As does my wife. *sigh*

F*** democracy! Go to Universal Stu.........
Oh, wait. It's the California one. Honestly, I didn't think it was that good. And I was just there last year, so it's not because they have old stuff. It was good, but the Florida one was WAY better.

You must go to Universal Studios... At least to see the Blues Mobile. Forced a few family members, and paid their way on a Disney trip. We all had alot fun. Went on the Jurassic Park and Mummy ride a few times.

You should point out they are making you go to lego land when you don't really want to.

You should point out they are making you go to lego land when you don't really want to. Naw...I am going one even better now. My daughter & I are teaming up to convince my wife to go spend her birthday in Disney Land...therefore, we can spend Halloween in Disney Land since her birthday is the day before Halloween. And I know she will go for it...so now I am happy!

Which is one of the selling points to my wife. ;D yeah the nightmare before christmas remodeling is what always causes me not to catch it because every time I've gone to disney land it was always in january and that's when they take out all the nightmare before christmas stuff. anyway, are you going to try and eat dinner at the restaurant that's inside the pirates of the caribean ride?

Universal Studios and Sea World are two hours apart under good driving conditions. It will be even more if you have traffic. Hopefully you are staying in San Diego if you are doing Sea World and Legoland. If you need to fill another half day, just go to Balboa Park and visit one of the many museums (or even the San Diego Zoo). And make sure you go to Hodad's in Ocean Beach for the best burger around.
