I have no idea how I've gone all these years without ever even hearing about this film, but hulu put it up and WOW. I always dug the sci-films from that era (late 60's into around '75-'76... pre-Star Wars... like Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, Death Race 2000), because they didn't (and really couldn't) rely on special effects, so the story and message had to be good. But wow... that flick went above and beyond what I expected and holds up incredibly well over 25 years later. www.hulu.com/watch/66751/slaughterhouse-fiveI highly recommend watching this film, or rewatching it if you've already seen it. It was beautifully shot and well acted.

I read it in high school. I didn't know what to make of it from the title but I enjoyed reading it. I heard of the movie adaptation before and I liked who they chose as Montana Wildhack.

According to wikipedia (I love that statement, btw ;D) Kurt Vonnegut had this to say about the movie ""I love George Roy Hill and Universal Pictures, who made a flawless translation of my novel Slaughterhouse-Five to the silver screen ... I drool and cackle every time I watch that film, because it is so harmonious with what I felt when I wrote the book." "

"Mother Night," is also a good Vonnegut based movie.
