This is my favorite scene from this movie and one of the most beautiful scenes in movie history. The music is just so beautiful in this beautiful touching scene. It really created a dramatic atmosphere.

Do I really have to pick one great scene from The Shawshank Redemption? I cant, its way too hard.

My favorite scene is where the sodomite is being dragged back into the cell by the guards for the mother of all beatdowns. Vengence, good.

As much as I KNOW this is an awesome movie, TNT and TBS ruined it for me with constant airing a few years back. I can't even look at it anymore.
And the scene where he comes out of the pipe... kickass.
Also that Byron Hadley is Mr. Krabbs from Spongebob. Wicked.

I liked the parody of it from Robot Chicken with Shawshank replaced with Arkham Asylum.
The movie itself is really good. surprised I've seen it so few times, though I'm not a big TNT watcher.

Love it. Forrest still deserved to beat it. I agree, but by the thinnest of margins. Both movies bring the awesome and both are prolly the best examples of how to make an outstanding dramatic film with just enough humor, redemption and love to keep interest without getting boring or overplayed. Seriously, these two are my top two favorite movies of all time. The list: 1: Shawshank 2: Forrest Gump 3: Crash(saw this for the first time just a few months ago and LOVED IT. When the little girl jumped in front of her dad when he was being shot at...oh man!) 4: UHF(Don't care what anyone says, this movie owns. "Aww maaaaaaaaaaan!") 5: Phantom of the Opera(This one can be blamed on the missus. She took me to the stage show and I was hooked.) 6: Sin City 7: Stand By Me 8: Schlinder's List(this film should be required viewing for everyone) 9: Saving Private Ryan 10: Casino I can watch all of these repeatedly without getting bored.
