The final part airs (ONLY) on Adult Swim TV tomorrow night at midnight, as well as everything that was online.
I've heard very good things about this series. Can't wait to see it all tomorrow myself.

Yeah, it's pretty badass. I love seeing the old designs for the characters again just with a fresh coat of paint, it's great.
Snake Eyes is a total wrecking machine too which is awesome.

I liked seeing all the old characters but I didnt like the added violence and lack of humor. Some of the voices were alright but Cobra Commander's I didnt like as it wasnt high and raspy enough. It wasnt too bad overall but it was too dark and serious and not fun enough for me to say it was great.

I did see it on Adult Swim. Seems weird to have the big violence, but lacking the blood. Also didn't appreciate how some of the Cobra heads were killed off. Also, weird how there was only 4 voice actors for the whole thing, according to the credits. Like it, though.
Line of the night for me (paraphrasing):
Baroness: "They took the hostages" Destro: "That's cheating!"

Killing of that many key figures was not necessary. It was well done and the style was a very welcome update, but I'm just having a bitch of a time not be pissed with them killing who they did.

God this was much much much much much much much much better than the crappy original series, some more Joe's could have died and the ending could have been better but two thumbs up.

This show was goddamn snorking great. THIS is the cartoon I've been waiting for since the original ended.
It really was the 1980's Sunbow-produced series but with the adult edge. ;D

It was pretty good, but why the hell was Dial-Tone a spunky, female teenager?
It was quite satisfying seeing two of my least favorite characters, Zartan and Storm Shadow, killed off.

It was pretty good, but why the hell was Dial-Tone a spunky, female teenager? Blame Warren Ellis. www.warrenellis.com/?p=7227Oh, and a FAQ: the Dial Tone character. Originally, she was just Lead Tech or similar. The producers said that, since she was getting so much dialogue, she should be a Joe, with attendant codename. They gave me several to choose from, and I chose Dial Tone, because it amused me.

I also love warren ellis's entire thought process behind the show, aka he did it for laughs and money.
and I'm not making that up, from his twitter:
"For those interested, the next two episodes of the GI JOE cartoon I wrote for a laugh (and cash) are up"

Anti-anime people annoy me. Like it's OK if a cartoon looks like crap so long as it isn't anime. It's almost racist. It's not like this thing had over sized eyes and overly young looking faces. G.I. Joe action figures since at least 1982 have been made in China. So why people get all patriotic about where the cartoon is produced I'll never know.

It still had the anime feel regardless if it was anime or not. The animation was my least problem with it. There were attempts at humor but overall the tone was too dark and serious and I missed the goofy/fun loving characters. GI Joe is supposed to be for kids/all ages and to try to make it PG-13 didnt feel right to me.

It was like Sigma 6 to me, which i did enjoy. GI:Joe and Transformers were taken by the japanese though I'm 100% sure Transformers were Japanese in the first place. They were, just like Go Bots were as well. Lots of Americans like to think things like Transformers and Power Rangers were American things, but they came from the hugely popular Mecha and Super Sentai genres in Japan. Also, as for the topic of Americans liking American animation and quickly crapping on Japanese animation, well two things: 1) It isn't racist, just xenophobic, because this hate for non-American animation by the majority of Americans isn't just anime, but any animation by non-Americans. 2) It is stupid in the first place because it was thanks to Americans that anime even exists(a large portion of the earliest anime creators were HUGE fans of Walt Disney, and as a result most of the early anime series looked like Disney made them himself).
