It has been injured.
Playing golf.
I started almost a month ago, played my first course about a week into learning how to swing and then played a mini-tournament that same week.
I tied for first...
I digress; the day of the mini-tournament, I jammed my right wrist twice, as on two separate occasions I hit the ground behind the ball and felt a stinger of pain pulsate throughout my right arm.
The pain subsided, but it was still bothersome.
Enter last night, which would be a week and a half to the day that I first injured my wrist.
I was feeling good, and hit the driving range. The first time I made contact, I felt some discomfort. I figured it was because I hadn't taken a swing for over a week, and my wrist was just stiff... so I continued to hit my large bucket of balls (Behave, for once, I was not intending to be perverted there... ).
Last night, I still felt discomfort, but I popped an Advil and went to bed.
This morning, my wrist was pulsing and there was pain that I hadn't experienced before. I figured I'd elevate it today and take care of it while at work, and I'd be fine.
It is now 14 hours later, and the pain has not subsided. I have never really had a physical injury before, spare a sprained ankle here or a pulled muscle there. I pretty much pride myself on my physical ability to heal rather quickly and to avoid any real injury.
Is it possible that I injured my wrist in a way that I cannot use it anytime soon? Is it possible that my great golf career is over not even a month into it?
I shall find out tomorrow, as I will see a doctor to find out what exactly is wrong with my hand. I type this in pain.. but I thought I'd be open with what was happening.
I was going to PM a bunch of you, but then, I'd have to actually look for your profiles... I will be taking applications for nurses, however.
That's the update on me. We'll get through this together.
