I dunno if this has been previously mentioned by anyone but I've noticed an certain irony that may be evident if Steve Austin steps in the ring with Jericho at Wrestlemania as part of the ongoing Mickey Rourke / Legends "feud".
It's common knowledge that one more match, one more bump even, could seriously hurt Austin irreverocably which is somewhat similar to situation faced by Randy Robinson in "The Wrestler". But of course, he defies all this to come back for "one last match"...
Like I said, just seems like a coincidence and I wonder if by any chance Austin is inserted into this storyline whether or not they may play off this. I'd doubt it personally, because in the film it's taken that Randy possibly dies in his encore performance. But they may go down the line of implying that Austin cannot wrestle as part of the storyline.
Just throwing a random observation out there. Thoughts, anyone?

It's Austin... The match would last about five minutes.. some punches, a stomp, a few middle few fingers... and a Stunner. Followed by a huge beer drinking session with a big old "Thank you Steve" chant.

Well the thing is people are failing to realize that Austin neck yes is bad but people act like his neck is as weak as a toothpick. When that is not really the case. Austin himself said in an interviews that he could wrestle one match. Then there where report of him saying he could go two years of the WWE Schedule.
The reason why Austin in not in that ring is because there never been a reason for him to be. He done everything he can in the business. Made a lot of money and frought all the best. Austin could wrestle if there was a situation for him to do it that would be worth it. Like Hogan or something like that.
If Austin does wrestle one more match it would be at this WM. Because it is in Texas and he going into the hall of fame. Could he face Jericho? Yes. But does Austin see it worth getting back into the ring to face him? That is the real question.

I have been thinking Austin/Jericho since Jericho mentioned taking away people's HoF status.
I really don't think Austin is as bad off as a lot of people are making it out to be. Austin himself has said he feels he could work an Undertaker like schedule for a few years and I think he knows a think or two more about his health than Hogan and even JR. At the very least he wants one more good match and Jericho could give it to him and this would only add to the drama.
