yep, that's seth macfarlane working on a cartoon with almost the exact same premise, and the same voices for the characters.
hell, the pilot even sounds like quagmire!

Both Family Guy and The Sopranos started up in 1999. The Sopranos was going to be called Family Guy before they settled on The Sopranos. I wonder what Seth would have called it if they had used that name. Probably The Griffins or something as a knockoff of The Simpsons. *Shooting star flies across the screen, and The More You Know text shows up*

I liked Larry&Steve, wanted to see more of those at the time. Somethign about Life of Larry was missing tho
