With all due respect to Diesel Train and his spoiler-filled thread about the Volcano Tacos from late last year, I have dwelved into spoiling Pepsi Throwback for you all!
It is nice, smooth, and refreshing. I feel as if I was transported back to my porch in the Summer of '83.
The Summer of '83 had corn syrup and not sugar, you say?
Then I say, thank you for ruining my memories of my childhood.
Let me dream a little dream, won't you?
The sugar infused Pepsi tastes quite well, and it better have -- I went everywhere looking for this newly released beverage.
I had read earlier today that it was widely available at Target, so I decided to visit my local Red Circle Store... and it wasn't there. Pepsi Natural was though, which is Pepsi made from all natural ingredients. It was nice, but not what I was looking for.
A trip to BevMo, and Trader Joes proved unsuccessful, as they were both closed. Now, right across from Joes was a Wal*Mart. And the decision to continue my trek into the World that is Wally was hastily made. Once within the confines of the Blue and White, I found me looking for some Throwback.
Right there, nestled next to the Lipton Brisk 12 pack was the very last package of Throwback. It was literally glowing, calling my name. Which was odd for the other people in the aisle, I imagine. I was ecstatic.
I hurriedly ran out of there clutching my Pepsi, and picked up a soft pretzel on the way out.
I then hurriedly headed back down the street to Target, to pick up the Pepsi Natural, since I was on a Nostaglia-ridden Pepsi trip that could not be stopped!
Once there, I overheard a young couple talking about Pepsi Throwback -- I was like, HAHA! I HAVE THE LAST ONE IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!
And then I turned the corner. And there I saw a wall full of Throwbacks. In a bevy of flavors. Well, if a bevy means two -- Pepsi and Mountain Dew. For about 2 dollars less a 12 pack, at that.
I am home now, and am refreshed.
It was all worth it. I just need me some Red Vines, and my meal would be complete.
