I don't care. I wish it was the Rock, though. Probably won't happen but a boy can dream.

A Jericho vs Legends storyline ending in a PPV match with Lawler is fine for Summerslam or something like that. Being the payoff for Wrestlemania would be epic fail.
Honestly if it isn't someone along the lines of Hogan or Austin this is a wasted build up.

Maybe before Wrestlemania, Jericho can come to some sort of realization that he, himself is a legend and so he has to fight himself. Or throw Charlie Haas in 1999 Y2J gear and have him wrestle Jericho.

It would be like the "Higher Power" reveal.

is there any indication this will happen? I kinda have the feeling that Vince is scrambling trying to lock in a big name opponent for Jericho and that Lawler is the standby. Either that or this is one of the best buildups they have done in a LONG time.

What I dont get is that Jericho is basically calling out Legends while on the same show we have Legacy who are based on continuing their family legacy in wrestling? Wouldnt it make sense of a Jericho heel/tweener turn to team up with Triple H to stamp down the has beens kids to.

I'll be very dissapointed considering the year Jericho had last year, he deserves to face somebody on the level of Hulk or Austin.

I mean to me, it doesn't have to be Hogan or Austin (but Austin would be ideal though..) but at the same time, having said that, I'd be disappointed as hell if it was Lawler or even Funk.
I will remain idealistic that this will all pay-off. Above all else, I'm glad Jericho's got a hell of a Spotlight on him going into the Biggest Show of the year and isn't merely "MITB Wrestler # ..."

You know, if it wasn't for his role in TNA, now, Sting would've made an interesting choice...

Yeah. But with all the build-up they've been giving Jericho and this storyline, I think we'd all agree that would be the biggest smurf-up in recent history.
