I know it will never happen, but what if The Rock confronted Jericho about bashing the legends? It would make sense on two fronts. First front, The Rock is a third generation legend with a father and grandfather in the Hall of Fame. So he would have a beef with Jericho bashing legends. Second, The Rock is Hollywood through and through. He would have a problem with Jericho bashing Hollywood and the film industry as he has done with Rourke. But the real reason Rocky would be the best choice is because he is not broken down and hobbled by injuries like Austin or Hogan. The Rock is reasonably young and I'm sure he is still in great shape. He never showed much sign of ring rust in his other layoffs and Jericho would be able to mask any slight rust now.
Of all the legends thrown out there for Jericho, The Rock could probably have the best match and promos with Jericho. What do you think?

It's going to be Jerry Lawler.

I would love for it to be The Rock. But, I highly doubt it will happen.

I'm hoping for Terry Funk If nothing else Jericho should cut a promo on Terry for Raw in the buildup. No one cuts a promo or oversells better than Terry Funk.

Funk would be pretty cool. There's the HOF tie in too.

Mickey Rourke would make some sense, considering Jericho finds a way to bash him and the film The Wrestler just as much as the legends themselves.

If it were The Rock, he would probably side with him. At least, I hope so because that would make for some great TV viewing.
I think he's fighting Hogan though, which should be interesting.

It's a tough economy right now. Just use Tony Atlas.

I dunno, quite a few sources have said he just had back surgery last week. Maybe it's a coverup for the match with Jericho but I wouldn't be shocked if we got the highly disappointing Lawler-Jericho for Mania.

H...How is Lawler an option?
The last feud he had was with Santino... does anyone take Lawler seriously, at all?

This is all a big build-up to the biggest match in Wrestlemania history. At Wrestlemania XXV, it will be Chris Jericho vs.....
Hacksaw Jim Duggan!!!!! ;D

I would LOVE for it to be Rocky, but my gut says, for the guaranteed pop.....Jericho calls out one last legend at Mania itself....one last HOF'er.....and thus we get the newly inducted Stone Cold Steve Austin to answer Jericho's call.
Think about it: Austin is also one of the ones that Jericho CONSTANTLY brags about beating (along with the Rock). He has that eternal tie to Jericho.

I'm pretty sure The Rock will never wrestle another match again. I've come to grips with that a while ago

Not Austin, not Flair, not Hogan
Bob Backlund
Just imagine the build. After Jericho beats him down we see Backlund a second time unlike everyone else.
He's running screaming down a hall right behind Jericho who he locks in the crossface chickenwing

I wish it was the Rock, it'd be amazing and it would make tons of sense, but it won't happen. Even if it's an appearance at Wrestlemania to whoop Jericho and bring the whole Hollywood/Legend thing to a close.
