I mean I really do not understand why people are so bent out of shape if flair ever came outta retirement.
Lou Thesz, Terry funk, and The original Nature Boy Buddy Rogers both came outta retirement many times.
And 2 outta the three, without them coming out of retirement, historical moments would have never happened.
If Rogers never came back, Flair himself wouldn't have gotten his original rub as the Nature Boy.
If Funk hadn't come back, classic matches such as his 3 ways with Sabu and Shane Douglas, as well as his No holds Barred Math with Flair would have never occured.
But mostly it's Flair's own decision to come back to the business he loves. So I believe that Flair should be able to comeback to wrestling anytime he wants in my view on his own terms. He at least deserves that if anyone.

You forgot Terry Funk coming back to be "in charge" of WCW. Okay, that wasn't so memorable, but still.
I, for one, really don't think its that big of a deal if Flair comes back. It's not as though the WWE doesn't want him too, if they let him wrestle. It was there send off, and its better that he wrestles for them if anyone if he wants to again.
Some people take things WAY too serious.

Here's the problem: Flair didn't retire at his prime or something. His performance was degrading for years. He got to retire on a good note, and while I understand that he has the right to do what he wants, it would all be downhill from there.
A potential Wrestlemania classic would lose a lot of its meaning. Most of the match's appeal is the emotion, and what's the emotion if it ended up not meaning anything?
If he came back, sure, whoopee, a couple of matches, but he'd be yet another guy who came back.
IF he comes back, it needs to be as a manager or something. He could give a guy a meaningful rub in that instance. Beating him no longer would mean diddly squat.
It might sound silly, but he's worth much more out of the ring right now then he'd be in it.

That's all true, but if Chris Jericho is right, then Flair will want to hog the spotlight til the day he dies. And he may think the only way to do that is to die IN the ring, not out of it.

What would Flair come back to? He's already done everything and his last 5 years in the ring he was used to put over young talent. Now if he were to come back as a manager I'd love that.

Personally, I don't care if he comes back or not, it's his choice. This, however... Flair didn't retire at his prime or something. His performance was degrading for years. He got to retire on a good note ...is a good point, and ought to be reason enough for him to not start wrestling again.

He should not.
He recieved the biggest send off i've ever seen. Think of Brett Favre, when he first retired it was this huge thing. He comes back making the first retirement meaningless and than he retires again. Nobody cared the second time.
I know it's different but Ric Flair last match and then the send off the night after was probably the biggest thing to happen last year. It was one of the biggest wrestlemania moments of all time. I won't flip if he comes back or anything, if WWE and Flair don't think the send off is big enough to where this old old man shouldent lace up the boots again, thats their deal. I just think it would be better for him to stay retired and let the importance of his last match and send off stand.

He was given every wrestler's dream send-off. I don't mind the occasional Flair appearance but I'd really like him to stay out of the ring.

I'm surprised we still have gotten any "IF FLAIR COMES BACK I'M DONE WATCHING WWE FOREVERR!!!!!111" posts yet IF FLAIR COMES BACK... nah, too easy. But if I could be serious for a minute... It basically boils down to how he retired. Wrestlemania 24 basically is a meh card without that match. Flair got a match dripping with emotion that has been known to stir up feelings in just about every wrestling fan, plus a sendoff the night after that damn near made me cry. For Flair to come back to the ring now would make all the emotions people had watching that match and sendoff moot. And people do not like having their feelings stirred for nothing.

While I love to watch Flair wrestle...I don't want him to return. I don't want anything to take away from that last Mania match, and the subsequent raw the next night.

I don't get the whole "Flair coming out of retirement would make his retirement match mean nothing" talk. I mean how many retirement matches has that man lost in his career?
Also, Ric Flair is old. Really old. For a wrestler. He doesn't need to come back, because his performance would probably, most likely suck.
Now, I think Flair would do just fine and great work as a manager.

I don't really wanna see it cuz at this point you have the perfect 'story ending' It'd just make every bit of that less special.

I know I don't want so see it, mostly for the reason Slim said. He got the greatest send off ever, with his best match in years. Maybe of the decade for him. Jericho is good, but the match can in no way match the emotion and in ring work of the Shawn match. At this point the law of diminishing returns kicks in.

He would be a liar and a hypocrite, just like all of you people... The friends of Chris Jericho: - Joker - Randy Orton - Matt Hardy - That guy from Terminator that never laughed - Timm Thaler - L. Roy - Angry German kid - Christian Bale

If Flair returns, I'll be as utterly underwhelmed as I always have been by his presence.
The only thing I find even remotely interesting about him is the peculiar rubber quality of his skin.

Whoa! i wouldn't say WM 24 was a meh card without that match. Now don't get me wrong that was EASILY match of the night and year, but there were 3 other outstanding matches as well that would still make it a solid card. Money in the Bank, Orton vs Triple H vs Cena and Taker vs Edge. But Flair isn't going to come back to wrestle, at least not at WM 25. he will come out next week and say i am not wrestling you but he will and some legend comes out.
