See it's sad, because I'm one of the biggest Hogan nostalgia guys there is.. I loved the last title run.. I defend him on here.. but the endless "one more match" stuff is just getting really old. You used John Lennon and Elvis the difference is they're not still around to have farewell concerts every few years. He's more like KISS, people love them too. and yeah I'd pop live too I'm sure.

TIME OUT!!!!!
John Lennon was quite possibly the greatest song writer in music, and Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest voices ever. Hogan...well, Hogan is just Hogan. Not at all good in the ring, but seems to get the crowd worked up. Somehow, he's made the crowd look past his God awful unholy wrestling skills, and that's surprising to me. John and Freddie were actually good at what they did, while Hogan isn't. Hogan can't even claim to be a good writer. I know. I read his book. I watched No Holds Barred.
As for the Elvis comparison, started off by giving wrestling a huge shove into popularity, much like Elvis did, then became old and fat and useless. Also like Elvis. So, you got er there.

Both Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are w/o a doubt the biggest icons in wrestling and the fans treat them as such. Wrestling wouldn't be what it is today if Hogan and Flair never laced up their boots. So Hogan has the same repetoire of moves, but that my friends is what the fans want to see. They expect the body slam, big boot, and the leg drop much like you expect Flair to use the Figure Four and go up to the top rope and being bodyslammed. It is what the fans want. What do you people want: Hogan and Flair doing moonsaults, tilt-a-whirl backbreakers, samari kicks, belly to belly suplexes, etc. To me, I think not so why diss Hogan for providing what the fans loved for years.
-To those who cannot get over the fact that Hogan no sold Vader's powerbomb are pathetic. Come on people that happened a decade ago, get over it. By the way, the powerbomb has not always finished the wrestler off. It can be kicked out of. Sorry if I sound harsh, ya'll.

And according to a very credible source, Vader is an ***hole in real-life anyways. So what goes around comes around.
Also, watch Wrestlemania VII. I personally think that was one of the best examples that Hogan could wrestle, and one of my favorite matches of all time. Agree or disagree, you still have to respect the impact Hogan had on the business.

It was out of respect, whether you like him or not he MADE the WWE. He is the biggest household name (Bigger then the Rock or Austin) Rock is close but NOONE is bigger then Hogan. Blah blah blah.....

I don't know if Asics even likes Hogan's 'come back, legdrop someone and pose for ten minutes' routine. Even though it's simple nostalgia, it's been played out so many times.

Agree with ya there man....
If you've seen it once, you've seen it a THOUSAND times....it's cool for a pop I'd say about ONCE A YEAR, but after that, it loses it's charm real quick....
On the upside, at least we can say that Hogan will NEVER play the Ric Flair role to HHH. I mean I know Hogan posed with HHH and everything, but that's not the same as Flair (the true Babe Ruth of wrestling) kissing Hunter's ass every week.

I find hard to mark out for Hogan when I know he'll be back every 2-3 months. It gives away the shock effect.
And, given his status of semi-retired hall of famer and icon, you know he's not gonna do the job. You know what you get when his music hits: long entrance, same old spots, just executed sloooower, big boot and maybe the legdrop, 5 minutes posedown.
Probably witnessing it live it's a whole different experience, but I still think Hogan has nothing to offer to the product today, except nostalgia moments.
But IMO nostalgia works as long as it doesn't become a "regular" thing again. Having Hogan wrestle on a monthly basis is just pointless.

He pinned Muta after hitting a 450 off of a ladder.
Nothing special.

Is Hogan gonna be on Carlito's Cabana?
Cos if so I would totally mark out if Carlito spit apple at him. It would be the Greatest Moment In Wrestling History. Unfortunatly it would be followed by the big boot..... then the leg drop........... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

Again the biggest draw in the history of the sport. Like it or not if not for Hogan (and of course Vince) you wouldn't be watching right now.
