or, anyone kicking out of three finishers?

That was a great match, despite the finish. Generally, I don't think wrestlers should kick out when their opponent has hit their finish three times. IIRC, Warrior kicked out after three Macho Man elbow drops at Mania VII. That bothered me even as a kid.

I thought they made angle too powerful or Austin too weak. It's funny that after austin turned face and angle turned heel. Angle is out after one stunner. It just got more confusing.

2001 was the year of the finisher never finishing anyone. It took someone hitting their finisher 3-4 times to actually win.

I actually mark hard when someone kicks out of someones finisher or after multiple of them only if it's a big time match with a really hot crowd.
Like Stone Cold vs. The Rock in every Wrestlemania.

That was at a time when kicking out of finishers was kinda whored around. It needs to be used in the right context at the right time. That's one of the times I thought it fit. The whole story was Austin couldn't beat Angle so I didn't mind it. Somebody referenced the Warrior/Savage Mania VII match. That was one where it didn't fit and just seemed ridiculous.

I thought the DQ finish was weak. But kicking out of a finisher IMO can create a massive pop when it's done right, especially in this match.

Kane taking three tombstones from undertaker, is a perfect example of when kicking out of finishers work

I was more bothered that Rock/Booker had to be the last match, just so WWF could be one-up on the PPV.
