Okay, you already know how I feel about that so there's no point in repeating it. So instead I'm gonna ask this. How could they not? How could they have a movie with the Merc-With-A-Mouth yet have him be some lazer shooting Baraka clone with no mouth? Oh, I agree that they have to make changes for a movie to work, as a silent protagonist in a movie might not work as well as it does in a game. But, aside from having him either rip-open his mouth so he can use it again (which I would prefer) or somehow capturing a doctor to do it surgically, I hope he keeps at least a few of the powers he displayed, particularly the Baraka blades. He is being contrary to get a rise out of you. I'm no more trying to "get a rise" out of him by stating my opinion in a thread about the subject than he is by stating his. Deadpool knows (hopefully) that I have no ill-will towards him or anything; he likes one version of the character, and I like another. So please try not to make things out to be something they aren't, eh?

Yeah, Emoticon isn't the kind of guy to shoot for a rise out of people. I talk to him enough to know that R-Man. If he says he really liked that version of the character he means it, as he's always stated he doesn't really like the comic book Deadpool.

Just seemed like he was purposely doing it from what I read...sorry for the confusion.

To get this thread back on track...
Anyone have any ideas on possible cameos from the portion of the movie that showed the captives of Weapon X? I know Cyclops and Emma Frost are the obvious ones, and I recall seeing Stryker's kid in there somewhere as well, but I wonder if any of the others were supposed to be X-Men cameos as well. I recall thinking that one of them might be Quicksilver, but I'm not sure.

I saw Toad, Banshee and Quicksilver. Others say Riptide and possibly Psylocke.

I remember, from the game, some references to other mutants. Some soldiers mention a mutant who can bend metal, meaning Magneto. you also hear about Cyclops, Storm, and possibly Jean Grey during one of Senator Kelly's rants during your search of a secret base. You also have Mystique popping up, and a reference to Nightcrawler being the son of Wraith and her. The teleporter girl Anna Frost might be one, but never heard of her before. I think Omega Red was mentioned about getting loose and killing people before being put down. You also have Wolverine sort of calling Wade "The Merc with the Mouth" before the Weapon XI fight. Might be others, but I forgot.

Siryn is kind of of important to DP. But yeah, that doesn't make much sense.

I just saw it. Honestly I thought Fast and Furious was better. Taking out all of the plot holes that are created from the other X-Men movies this movie wasn't too bad except for it's pacing. It moved way too fast. The only thing I like about it is the subplot of Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers.

I assumed the kid that was vibrating was Rictor. I may be wrong however.

Okay, so i'm super late on this. I actually saw it opening night at the midnight showing. I loved it. I thought it was easily the best X-Men movie yet.

I just got back from seeing it and.....I LOVED IT! And yes, I was pissed at Deadpool, but damn it, I hate to say this, it worked. Oh and I got the Deadpool after credits scene.
Also, I am not really mad at some of the versions of the characters. Like Emma Frost. A lot of people were bitching that she was a teenager in this film, well think about it, in the current comics, Cyclops is porking Emma Frost, and Cyclops is a teenager in this film. Wouldn't it make sense to make the character he's currently f***ing ALSO be a teenager? Plus I loved the subtle change in Deadpool's appearance when he used the eye beams. The areas around his eyes went from red to black.
As for the cameos within the captured mutants, I personally think the one that was suspended in the air with the cables was Cannonball. Cause when he'd use his power, he kept springing back.
The only thing that irked me was they decided to take away Silverfox's healing factor for the sake of the plot.

Ah, okay then. I didn't see the Deadpool ending, so I didn't know. Regardless, though, it looks like their main problem for a solo Deadpool movie is solved.

It's been done before. So many times. Wow, this movie is so cliched it's terrifying. Let me describe he general movie cliche bullshit you will find in this film:
1. Obligatory hero holding dead girlfriend in his arms while screaming towards the air sequence. 2. Scene where tough guy hero talks to severely wounded minor bad guy, decides at first not to kill him, but spurned on by villain's smart mouth, does so anyway, casually turning his back to the villain as the whole kit and kaboodle EXPLODES!!! BOOM! 3. Montage of action, this one happens through the years... 4. A hero character telling the main villain, "I should kill you, but that would make me no better then you" even we know that by killing the villain it would solve a shitload of f***ing grief for the whole world! This happens like three times, the last time being the most gratuitous and stupid. 5. Twisty-turny girlfriend that sells you out yet really DOES love you despite f***ing you over for what amounts to a pretty weak reason. 6. Corrupt government agents. 7. Am-f***ing-nesia. f***.

He's not the best at what he does, which isn't very nice for no reason. Makes sense seeing thats how it happened in the comics. Though it made more sense in the comics than a adamantium bullet.

1. Obligatory hero holding dead girlfriend in his arms while screaming towards the air sequence. Weren't there a few times where Wolvie looks up at the sky and screams "NOOOOOOOOOO!"?
