Death Threats were America's #1 source of communication before the internet.

Death Threats were America's #1 source of communication before the internet. LOL How about those people who paid to see just the star wars ep 1 trailers and left. So basically they paid full movie admission just to see a 2 min trailer

Irish Soccer fans spring to mind. One side is Protestants, the others are Catholics, and neither think twice about throwing a rock at the other's skull. And it all revolves around a game where you spend a majority of the time kicking a ball around. all of this is political violence. football very rarely comes into it. i know im irish. i dont condone this nor am i involved in it. I didn't mean to imply that the entire country is involved, so if that's how you took it I apologize.

They aren't that bad anymore...in fact I attended a few Old Firm games with my ex back in the day, saw some trouble but it wasn't in the dramatic way people always presume. If you want REAL football hooligans I suggest you have a google search for footballing Ultras. HI DEAD POLICE OFFICERS.

Back whey they killed Jason Todd in the 80's, a bunch of older people got irate thinking that they killed Dick Grayson. If you hadn't read comics for a long enough period of time to not know that Dick Grayson wasn't Robin anymore, you have no business trying to get that upset. Seriously.

People can defend the Irish football fans all you want. But the fact is, in Britain, thousands of football fans beat the crap of each other just because of football. And that's it.
Now, riots at games I can almost even understand on some level. But I saw a documentary once about fans from my home town of Nottingham and guys from Millwall, who were such 'hardcore fans' that they don't even go to the games any more, they call each other up and arrange to meet up and fight over football. That they don't watch any more.

I'll put it this way.
As I stated in another thread, I'm working on making a Gambit costume. I was looking around on Google to see if anyone had any suggestions on making his "chest piece" or whatever. I typed "Gambit chest" into the search engine.
Ya know how Google shows a little 'preview' of whats on the page under the link?
I feel my stomach...curdling as I read something along the lines of "Logan traced his fingertips down Remy's chest as he arched his back into the caress"
Some people need to be sterilized.

People petitioning to prevent Hollywood from ever making another live action Batman movie starring the Joker "out of respect for Heath Ledger."
So, to honor his memory, we must erase his character from existence?

Creator of Evangelion Hideaki Anno received a lot of death threats for the ending of the show.

I remember that after Metal Gear Solid 3, Hideo Kojima got a mountain of death threats to come back and make Metal Gear Solid 4, cause Kojima said MGS3 was the last one he had a direct hands on approach to. I assume after he made the game, the same people sent him death threats for making long cutscenes?

all of the fans wanting venom in spiderman 3... I think we all know how that turned out. Also Topher Grace and Badass should never go in the same sentence...Hey! Did anyone else think this thread was going to be about fans attacking wrestlers? Because nothing is funny as that giant fat guy trying to enter the ring and fight Hogan/Hall/Nash.

That they don't watch any more. Yeah, it happens in every major footballing country out there really. Our (Millwall) entire reputation is based around football hooliganism, because we were the worst at that back in the day, and it has unfortunately stuck with us even though our hooliganism is at an average level. Regardless, every little scuffle we do now is still met with "omgz Millwall r teh scum!" On the Millwall side of things at least, all of the hooligans are banned from our stadium, there was massive action a few years back, thousands now cannot watch us play, and rightfully so. So that sheds some light on why they just book the fights and not the match.

People who camp outside stores for two nights to be the first to get certain games consoles do it for me. Everyone knows there are never any really good games at Launch, but you still see pictures of these jackasses outside a store proudly holding their PS3, Xbox, or Wii aloft as if it was the World Cup.
Yeah congrats mate, you've just queued up for 48 hours and spent £500 on something that will be £200 cheaper and have a better library of games than just Generic Racer 17 inside of six months.

Yeah hooliganism isn't too much of a problem in Britain outside of a handful of matches.
Most are just embarrassing loud mouthed chavs that would run a mile from real hooligans, like the Swansea youth from this sky one documentary.
Language warning.
