I wasn't really watching TNA when this gimmick was going on.
I've heard it was pretty bad. Anyone shed some light on it? Was it Crap-worthy?
I know it was the Scream Queen Daffney portraying the "governor", and that a lot of it was based around the Beautiful People trying to kiss up to her, or something.

Basically "The Governor" showed up on Impact and was showing Angelina and Velvet how to basically look and act like ladies in the political realm. Everyone (the announcers, Kip James, other wrestlers) knew it wasn't Palin, but Love and Sky were presented as too dense to realize that. Eventually after several weeks of the Governor telling them to dress conversatively, not wear make-up, and work on a farm, both Angelina and Velvet were slopped by Roxxi and Taylor Wilde, revealing that they had set up the entire thing to humiliate the Beautiful People and demonstrate how shallow they were without their accessories and features. In revenge the BP cut the hair of Taylor and the "Governor" which caused the latter to go nuts and revert to being Daffney again. She would explain that Roxxi and Taylor had hired her to prank Sky and Love and would later feud with Wilde for not watching her back when her hair was cut. All in all some pretty stupid stuff, but it did have a payoff and brought in Daffney so I can't complain too much.

Sadly, this wasn't what I was hoping for... Same thing was going through my mind. Attitude was probably the best when it came to CAWs just for the extra music and voice overs I was always a fan of this one

It was so terrible, especially if you think how motherf***ing AWESOME Daffney is now, zombie-hot and all. Thank God TNA fixed some gimmicks (Daffney, Eric Young, AJ Styles, Daniels, Roode).

Somehow, between This Gimmick, and having to share a promotion with Brooks, I'm surprised she's lasted for this long.
