Why are we here at Wrestlecrap so obsessed with originality? I know it is good to be original, but everyone here seems to use the unoriginality of something as being a negative. What is so interesting, is that nothing has been original for a long time. You can take any movie, book or television show, and break it down to its simpliest form, and find that it is the same story we have all seen or read a thousand times. Actually, I think I am the only one keeping this argument alive. Maybe I'm the last guy on Earth who cares. And to be honest, if every movie in the theaters wasn't a remake, I wouldn't care. It's the shear number of remakes that come out in the last couple years that bothers me. Every year I've been alive sequals and adaptations have come out. But the thing is now its gone out of control where it seems thats all they make. I'd rather remakes and the such be a novelty, not the rule. It takes more creative energy to come up with something like The Wrestler than it does the Wolverine movie. Also, rehashing everything that has come before just reeks of living in the past. Shouldn't we be looking forward to something better, new, and exciting instead of dwelling on the great things of yesteryear.

In my opinion, I don't need movies to be original, I just need them to be good. Here, here!
