I have been working two jobs as of late. I really like both of them, the only problem is I am about 15 hours a day, 3 days a week, and the other days I am working around 10 hours a day. I am physically drained. I am a full time furniture manager at BigLots and a part time game advisor at Gamestop. I don't want to give either job up as I really need the money, my worry is that keeping both jobs is going to (and already is) to start taking time away from my fiance. I need the extra money to start saving up for our future together and an upcoming wedding. I don't know what to do. She won't give me a straight answer, so I am coming to you guys. What should I do?

Quit the Gamestop job, how much extra money could you possibly be making?

Quit the Gamestop job, how much extra money could you possibly be making? Not a whole lot, it's only 6.55/hour and 20/hours a week.

I'd rather have the time with my future wife, than giving game tips to nerds and making nothing for 20 hours of my time each week.

Or ask for a cut of hours at Gamestop so you're still doing it, just not as much. But yeah, Gamestop should go first if anything. Don't f*** up with your fiance though, other stuff will come along later.

Well, I went in today to talk to them about me working both jobs. I told him I didn't really want to quit and if I could only work there on my days off it would help out alot. He said okay, and then said he needed to talk to me in the office. He tells me he doesn't want me to quit and says they need an assistant manager there, and that he would match my pay at Big Lots and possibly can get me even more money. Now I have yet another dilemma on my hands. I really don't know what to do know.

If your manager does match your pay or increase it from Big Lots, then you have to ask yourself which job you enjoy more. Your answer will be the job you stick with.

Maybe my thinking is wonky on this but
Assistant Manager at Gamestop wages = Manager @ Big Lot wages
If I'm understanding you correctly then you'd (in theory anyway) have less responsibility and if the managers job came up then you'd be next in line for it with a further wage rise
I'd seriously take to someone close to you though, if your fiancee won't then a close relative

Gamestop would be 40 hours/week and thats it, don't know about bonuses if they are to be had or not.

I say keep both jobs and dump the fiance! Keep working both jobs and pinch every penny you earn from them. Besides what do you need a fiance for working part time at Game Stop? You can just get some of your customers to hook you up with some of the women they frequently interact with! Now if you don't mind me I think I hear my old business partner Jacob Marley's chains dragging on my floor, so I must go.

Nobody in their right mind got that reference.

Interesting because I two work jobs. Which I can relate to you as I work part time at Big Lots and used to be full time there. Before I quit for another job that was full time and closer to home. If there was a position at the location I am now that I had I likely may have tranfared but that was not the case.
Gamestop may have had put a decent offer on the table. But you have to see how much extra he can get you. Would it be worth it? Because he giving you the same you already got and when ever your year review is due, Big Lots will raise again. Plus your spot is making you in line for a possible ASS. Manager spot in the future which likely is going to pay more then Game Stop. Which what you make is scary at Gamestop. In Missouri that below min wage. The way times are which is likely to have better business that going to make sure you won't be laid off.
Big Lots is because I'm sure Video game sales are not as hot as they used to be. And Big Lots selling a cheaper everday used stuff. Likely is doing better.

Video game sales have been very high. It is just that all the game studios closing either had a string of duds recently, or haven't released a game within the last few years.

Yeah, a lot of unemployed people, collecting unemployment are probably buying video games since they're just sitting around at home.

Also, look at it like this, if movies can still rake in million upon millions, why can't video games?

If I were in the situation and one job offered benefits and the other didn't, I'd take the job with the benefits.
