I've always been a fan of this song but no one's really ever heard of it, I was shocked to find out that it was a #1 hit on the Hot 100 charts for 1 week in February 1966.
Let's get some more obscure ones in here.

I was shocked to hear 'The Fly' by U2 made it to number 1 when I don't think I've ever heard it on radio. Not once.

#1 in 1964. Written by Paul McCartney would didn't think it would be a good Beatles song. If that doesn't tell you the depth of the bands' songwriting, don't know what does.

Nomi's cover >>>>>> Christie's original. I second this. Sorry but I disagree guys. Lou's version has a stronger delivery on the "I can't stop" lines and the background vocals are mixed better.

Wow, that's definitely a Paul song. Not bad stuff. I noticed Peter Asher's career really slowed once his sister stoped dating Paul.

Sorry but I disagree guys. Lou's version has a stronger delivery on the "I can't stop" lines and the background vocals are mixed better. I'm also with you on this. Christie's vocals are better and it feels better produced. Also, lildude, I've heard this song before plenty of times. When your father's stuck in the 60's and 70's when it comes to music, songs like this become commonplace.
