What a random channel for Star Wars to be on.

The greatest Star Wars movie of all. But why it's on MTV I don't know.
It's like when they show a movie like "Die Hard" on the Women's Network, etc. Makes you go "huh?"

A) Why is it on MTV?
B) Id be happier about this if Spike TV didnt show the Star wars saga 34, 817 times a year

In honor of our fallen in the Galactic Civil War.
I was tempted to tune it in until I realized I have it on DVD. Does anyone else tune in movies on TV they have on DVD or is it just me?

They had A New Hope on there the other night. Really caught me off guard to see the flying words with the little MTV logo in the corner.

They've shown the entire run from 1-6 in the last few days. Really I see it as no more random than Spike showing them. Really there all just part of the Viacom family.

Ah, they're doing this for the MTV Movie Awards.
And by the looks of it, this is one of the remastered versions (either the 20th anniversary or the DVD version)

When it began playing was there a little pop up box saying imperial theme by John Williams purchase on Itunes for .99? I totally did when I saw that on whatever MTV show it was I was watching at the time.

TO be fair, at least Star Wars has more in common with Good Music than 99% of MTV's programming in the last five years.

And now Return of the Jedi is on MTV. Has the whole world gone crazy? Which one did you like better, Return of the Jedi or The Empire Strikes Back? Since it was on MTV when they aired Return of the Jedi, when Luke saw the spirits of Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin Skywalker they should've played "(Good Riddance) Time of Your Life" by Green Day

Many stations are showing war movies in honor of Memorial Day. MTV isn't going to show anything slightly education of course so for their war movies they decide to show the Star Wars Trilogy.
