Well?
For me, it was a mox of Option 1 and 3. I always switched between RAW and Nitro depending on what was going on. During commercials/segments that bored the hell out of me, I would always switch to the other show to see what was better.
But as soon as Schiovane told us that Foley was winning the title that night, I immediately switched to RAW, and would only flip back to Nitro for like 5 seconds, then right back to RAW so I wouldn't miss it. And thank God I did, cuz that night was amazing. I almost cried watching it in the other thread.
So what was it for you?

I've been a regular viewer of the WWF/E since the 80's, so I'd have been watching anyway. He was definitely one of my favorite parts of the show, though.

Nitro was on the weekend down under.

Well, the way I had set it up was that I would watch Raw during its broadcast and then watch the encore presentation of Nitro. That way I could see both programs each week, so it was really a non-factor for me.

I kinda wished that the FoD would've given me a Peter Griffin "DONE!" moment, but I was 15 and still a huge nWo mark, so I kept watching. But Man was I happy I saw Foley win.

Wasn't a factor. Nitro came on live at 6 for me and taped Raw came on at 9. I was pissed when he said it just because I didn't wanna know who was gonna win.

I knew about the Foley win due to the internet, but I watched anyways for two reasons. One because I wanted to see Foley win his first very deserving world heavyweight championship and two I knew that Nitro would probably end with the nWo interfering in the main event, because besides when Goldberg beat Hogan, when did Nitro's main event end with a clean finish from 97-99?

I'd pretty much given up on Raw at the time and was full time Nitro.

I was a Nitro loyalist until the bitter end who didn't give a darn about Foley in '98.

I wasn't watching that night. If I was though, I would have been checking back and forth as I usually did anyway.

For me it was first hour of Nitro, and then watch Raw, and then just taped the encore presention of Nitro. I never miss a Raw, since I have been a loyal WWF/WWE fan since 1989.

I was a channel flipper, but I was about 75% WWF/E so I saw the title switch.

I always watched the first hour of Nitro then just watched RAW.
