Can somebody clarify something for me? I have a trade paperback comic book by Ellison called VIC AND BLOOD that sounds almost exactly like A BOY AND HIS DOG.
Are they indeed one and the same story? And why was the title changed for the movie?

There's no such thing as a film with superb directing and average acting. The director's primary job is to get the best performances out of his actors. If the acting is just average, then so was the directing. As a film school graduate, I can tell you right now that a director gets far too much credit/blame for the final product of a movie. The only thing they can single-handedly be blamed for, as I said, are bad performances. So then how do we explain Rob Reiner (a fine director) and "North"?

Even if they do remake these movies. 90% of said remakes will be (for the most part) forgotten within a year or two tops.

2001: A Space Odyssey remake? No. I'd be fine with that. I think the original is so overrated. Can I just second this please, I'll admit I only watched it for the first time recently, even had it explained to me on here. I've got to be honest, I just found the whole thing....boring.
