That news of Typhoid Mary also got a lot of people hopeful for a Daredevil movie, myself included. Taking a step back and looking at it though, it really does make far more sense that it'd be for Deadpool. I doubt an actress would be going after a role in a film that's never even been discussed seriously yet. Typhoid Mary showed up in a lot of the early Deadpool stuff, so it makes quite a bit of sense that she'd be in his movie.

I'm really, really hoping they go the Ultimate Alliance 2 route with his costume. Incredibly true to the comics, but with a more realistic twist. This would indeed be awesome...and I think part of the outrage from WOLVERINE is because THIS is what we DP fans thought we were going to get, instead of Baraka-Pool.

I've said this in every Deadpool movie thread I've seen so far, but a necessity-
Cameo appearance by Rob Liefeld as either 1- a customer in a department store demanding pants with more pockets 2- a customer in a gun shop demanding a bigger/flashier gun 3- a trainer at a gym demanding his client PUSH HARDER so he can have huger muscles.
Best opening possible: End scene of Wolverine Origins, with Wolverine fighting Deadpool, just like show the actual movie scene, then the channel changes to Golden Girls, then a cut zoom to him in the dark watching TV and eating talking about his love Bea Arthur.

Dude, I'll go you one better...DP walks in on Weasel illegally downloading the Wolverine movie on his CPU....they both watch that scene, and rip on the so-called Deadpool in that movie, and then DP cracks a joke about how someone is probably making a bootleg of "this very movie, this very instant" while looking right into the camera. ;D

Naaah....he's nowhere NEAR that demanding. He just wants a faithful adaptation of his favorite character. I'd be the same way had they messed up Rorschach in WATCHMEN. Thank you very much for that R-Man. Also, THEY BEST DAMN WELL SERVE ONLY CHIMICHANGAS ON SET! THE ONLY WAY TO GET IN CHARACTER CORRECTLY IS TO SERVE THE WHOLE CAST AND CREW CHIMICHANGAS 24/7 DAMMIT! that was a given dude

"Cuz I will husk-f*@k a herd of cattle to bring Wade Wilson to life as the real deal." Now that's dedication. Here's hoping Fox doesn't hold him to this statement, though. Those poor cattle. ;D "If they can imagine if one of them were given the opportunity to do a Deadpool movie, just imagine that's what's happening. Just to have faith in that. And to have faith in the studio. It's hard for fans to do that, but I feel like they really want to do an authentic Deadpool movie….He's like Jason Bourne meets Phantom of the Opera by way of Caddyshack. And that, right there, is a wholly originally character, and that's what excites the dark overlords who fund this film. And me." Mr. Reynolds, you are probably the greatest man to have ever lived.

Starting from scratch? My interest in this just plummeted. Considering the fact that Ryan Reynolds and all the Deadpool fans like myself HATED what they did to him in X-Men Origins, it makes complete sense that they'd start from scratch. Not only that, but the easiest way to fix the problems like the lazer eyes and Baraka blades is to simply retcon it. Smart move. And my excitement continues to grow. Glad to know I won't even have to see a flashback of Barakapool.

at least you mother f***ers get movies based on your characters. When are we gonna ever see a Green Ranger movie? NEVER Maybe I am the man as an aspiring director to bring the rangers out of child land and into main stream action movies!

But it doesn't change the fact that people like me (who never cared for comic Deadpool but loved the Wolverine movie and the Deadpool in that movie) aren't going to be so excited about these new developments. Personally, I'll still likely watch the movie, and might even enjoy it, but I can't help but feel let-down that they're taking the character in a different direction than the one I enjoyed him in.

I think the fact that he's willing to have sex with animals if it'll help make the movie the way it should be is a damn good sign.

I have to ask, what was there to love about DP in the Wolverine movie? He really did absolutely nothing in that movie that was really impressive.

I just thought he was cool. I liked his look (possibly because I like Baraka), I liked his fight with Wolverine and Sabertooth, I liked his origin, I liked his powers, I liked the small flickers of emotion on his face when confronting Wolverine... I just liked the character. I can't really explain it better than that.

Ryan Reynolds' dedication to making this movie as good as it can possibly be makes him my official HERO OF THE DAY! Good show, Mr. Reynolds.

I already liked Reynolds but this is awesome.
I like how they're ignoring the whole Origins disaster. But I would like a dig at it like they did in Godzilla: Final wars
