I'll yell for Chipper until the day he retires. Then I'll cry.

I'll yell for Chipper until the day he retires. Then I'll cry. Then you'll take a vacation to Cooperstown on the first ballot. The Cubs remain so incredibly frustrating. F'n Cubs doesn't even cover it anymore. They go 6 weeks facing maybe 3 lefties, and then they run into 6 of 7 between PIT and LAD. So the lineup, between the projected platoons and the injuries, remains a major question mark game to game. This is so difficult a season so far.

It may honestly be the one and only time in my life I feel the need to go see someone get inducted. I love Smoltzie, Maddux, Glavine... all of them... but Chipper is hands down my favorite player. Also, H-Fist I know how you feel. My Braves are about as inconsistant as they come. Sweep good teams, lose to bad ones.

I constantly do the math and come up with his stats had he not missed large portions of seasons. I mean his numbers a great anyways, but damn they get awesome taking that into account. I would say it's to bad, but really it's part of what makes Chipper special. He really isn't greedy, and will do what it takes to help the team win.

Yea too bad he plays for the Braves and his awesome career is just wasting away in that dump.

Yeah, what a waste, playing on one of the best teams ever, taking part in a record setting (across all major American sports) amount of consecutive division titles, winning a world title, playing along side many future Hall of Famers, playing for one of the best managers of all time his whole carrer, being beloved by an entire city. Yeah, I'm sure Chipper regrets every moment of it.

Maybe so, but the 2007 Cubs were on the same awful pace until Lou decided to throw one of his (planned) hissy-fits. Big Z decided to try that Wednesday. We shall see what becomes of them.
