This song, in my mind, will always remind me of the girlfriend I had at the time this album came out. It sums up the relationship perfectly and, in a kind of bittersweet way, was a eulogy for the break up that crushed my spirit. To me it will always mean both things, the excitement of finding someone who I never thought I could find in a million years and the sad realization things will probably never be that good between us again (we've since made up and are friends again).
I posted this version because of Letterman's zingers.

Not to be a downer but without context, these songs mean nothing. Why are these ones special? This ain't Family Guy, if you're going to put something in here there's got to be a reason.

First Pearl Jam song I ever heard live and the last time I spent meaningful time with a very special person who was in my life for quite a few years. The lyrics sums up my feelings and whatnot.

This is mostly about a special woman who I let slip through my fingers. Boy that was rough.

Reminds me of a girlfriend who had people issues. The relationship didn't end too well, obviously.

Mine and my GF's song is Wonderwall. We both love the song, both identify with it, and it was playing the first time we kissed.

Don't care for reminders of past relationships and people, but given long termness of current relationship I can safely say:
Blur - Beetlebum Elastica - My Sex (a love song, not a sex song...just a misnomer title) Garbage - Temptation Waits Bjork - Hyper-Ballad

I had a crush/ friendship with this chick for 2 years. She was a huge Yankees fan, and I am a huge Sox fan. She actually like a lot of sports and was not bad looking to say the least. Well, she moved after fall semester in 2004. She told me she was going to move either the day of or the day before game 4 of the ALCS. I remember saying the Sox still had a chance, and she laughed saying its going to be a sweep, and the Yankees will get 27. I got the last laugh in that convo. We were still friendly until she moved. I have not talked to her since then tough....

Several years ago, a very special young lady and I went into town to walk around, and what not, and right outside of the Harvard Sq. Subway station, a street band were playing this Cheap Trick song. This was roughly 8 years ago, and I still smile every time I hear this song.

This song always reminds me of my high school crush. We got really close, as friends when we saw Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, Motörhead, and Testament this past Summer. That was one of the greatest nights of my life.
