Am I the only one that likes Maiden since "Brave New World" alot better than their old s***. Not that their old stuff is bad but I think they've really matured (which is normal since they're in their 50s) musically since Bruce and Adrian came back.
I haven't heard much of "A Matter of Life and Death" but from what I've heard it's the weakest of the past 3 albums.
So yeah, give it up for Iron Maiden of the new millenium.
One their least talked about songs yet one of their most bitchin'

I actually really dig A Matter of Life and Death, but my favourite post-Bailey Maiden album was Dance of Death. Epic.

I've had A Matter of Life and Death on my iPod for a while and have yet to listen to the whole thing. For some reason I can't really get into it. I'd also rank Dance of Death as possibly my favorite Maiden cd of all time.

Hell I even like Blaze era Maiden. But hot damn, they've rocked since Bruce and Adrian came back. Rainmaker's a personal favourite of mine.
A Matter of Life and Death took a few listens for me as well, but once you get into it, it really is a great album.

Rainmaker and Journeyman easily rank up with their classics, I think. They're very different in a lot of ways, but awesome nontheless.

There is a certain maturity that came with the return of Dickinson and Smith. Brave New World was a tremendous album, if not just a wee bit frenetic. The only time it really drags is with Nomad, which is a 9 minute song that could well have been a 5 minute song.
Dance of Death, horrible cover art aside, was a strong album, and the opening track is just absolutely astounding in terms of Maiden. When do you see Iron Maiden come out with a tour de force song of that nature? Rainmaker, New Frontier, and Age of Innocence are also remarkably well thought out songs.
A Matter of Life and Death...well, hell, that's just a tremendous album top to bottom. It doesn't charge like many of Maiden's albums. It simply marches. That difference is impressive, to say the least.

I'm a fan of all Iron Maiden eras, but yeah, I'll definitely agree that their music has been consistently good since Bruce and Adrian returned to the fold. Ghost of the Navigator is another great track from BNW I haven't seen mentioned in this thread. Montsegur and Paschendale are probably my favorite tracks off DOD. As for AMOLAD, I have to give the nod to both Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, and For The Greater Good of God.

Count me in on the appreciation. I enjoyed all the eras of Iron Maiden, but the last three albums of their's are some of the best and most mature music they've done yet.
Brave New World in particular is probably my favorite Iron Maiden album as of right now. Just awesome all around.

BNW is fan-freakin-tastic. Not quite up to "Golden Age" level, but still awesome. The whole thing has a very "cold" vibe to it I love. Out of the Silent Planet and the Thin Line between Love and Hate are amazing.

These Colours Don't Run is an awesome "call to arms" sort of song. It deserves a mention.

I fully endorse any and all Iron Maiden eras. I do like their newer stuff. They have definitely aged better than a lot of other bands.
