Does the The Undertaker need to face bigger and bigger stars in Wrestlemanias to come? This year even Mr. Wrestlemania couldn't beat Taker. I think WWE will have to book someone even bigger than HBK to have the fans thinking the streak can end next year. If Undertaker faces some underneath guy no one will care about the match because the result's so predictable. I think if Mr. Wrestlemania can't do it then only Cena comes to mind as a big enough threat to The Streak.

If Cena ends the streak, I will throw all logic and sanity out the window and officially join the hordes of Cena-haters. Seriously.

Nah, not really. Sometimes it's a formality, sometimes it isn't. I mean, Mark Henry anyone?

Heel CM Punk comes to mind as a potential opponent, especially if Taker's the champion by then and Punk is cashing in the MITB contract.

I don't know, perhaps next year he will be involved in a triple threat or something.
Cena, VS Triple H VS Taker or something could be legitimately bigger than HBK & Taker. Not better though, never better.

Jericho and Cena are really the only big names left for Taker on the roster, unless Jeff takes fire again or some such.

Yeah Jericho (especially with his current character) and Cena are the next candidates. The good thing about those two is that not only would they be Mania worthy, but potentially an entertaining programme afterwards if the first match is good and Taker could handle the strain.
Funny thing about this year is that I'm not sure if Michaels was originally planned to be the opponent as wasn't the rumour that Taker was going to feud with that Hade Vansen stable, which could have led to a Mania match, but Vince nixed it because he thought Vansen was too unproven?

Jericho would be great with his current character.
He could try and expose 'Taker for being a fraud and use this logic to get inside his head. Of course, 'Taker would win at the big show but it would be a pretty interesting storyline.

Just gonna throw this out there, maybe it happens...maybe it doesn't... Sting.
Actually, now that i think about it...I don't see that happening at all. Pretend I didn't say anything.

Jericho is the only superstar other than Orton that at this point in time could end the streak and I would be completely happy with the decision granted the match was very good

Jericho and Cena would be good ones.
If Undertaker can still go for a few more years though, I would nominate Vladimir Kozlov for his next opponent if they can keep him afloat for the next year.
I don't want him to beat the streak, but I think that Kozlov would make a sufficient sort of "buffer" between HBK and a WM 27 opponent who should be huge.
But that's just me.
Otherwise, Jericho or Cena are about it.

I was thinking about this as well, if not Cena, then him, but cannot see it happening at all sadly. I surely hope they don't go down the big guy route like Big Show or Khali, as the matches would both suck.

I say it depends on when Taker decides to retire.
I would like to see him face Mr. Kennedy if built up properly. A young(ish) heel challenging the old guard wanting to make a name for himself. Punk could also work here if he turns.
As for already established guys who would be believable contenders: Jericho or Cena. I say more likely to go to Jericho unless Cena finally gets out of the title scene or Taker isn't in the title scene.
