I actually enjoyed a 3 person commentary booth for WM. Mind you Cole and JR managed to both say some sublimely stupid things. Also King seemed to be more on his game and more heelish overall in his commentary.

I thought they were good but it could just be because it was JR and King together again.

I actually did. Cole really didnt annoy me at all except for the bad pun after the Mysterio match.

I liked it as well. I think the combo of Cole and J.R., as someone mentioned, had Lawler channeling some of his old heel persona. His defending of Matt Hardy was awesome. I'd really like it if this just became the RAW and SmackDown announce team.

I really enjoyed it. I always though when they did this in WCW on Nitro that it worked very well especially when Tenay was only being the professor and giving out good tid bits of imformation here and there and not directly calling the action. I noticed a somewhat heel Lawler too. If he goes heel again I will mark like crazy.

jerry was on his game, jr played the professor/historian, and cole was just a straight play by play man. three guys that know what's what in the WWE and showed it last night. i hope they try it out for a couple weeks since Taz is gone.

Anybody also notice that for the main event Cole was practically silent while JR called the whole match? Probably a good move, but I thought the dynamic between the three men worked pretty well.

Personally I thought this was one of the worst commentary jobs I've ever heard.

I really liked it. But after HBK/Taker, they sounded bored as hell for the triple threat. Then after Austin came out, it sounded like they wanted to go home already

It was okay. Though, the third man should have been Matt Striker instead of Cole.

Why not put J.R, Cole, and Lawler on Raw and ECW and let Striker, Grisham, and possibly Sim Snuka call Smackdown and Superstars. They tape ECW usually with Raw anyway.

For taping sake, then yeah it make sense for them to do Raw & ECW, but it's just not logical. The Smackdown and Superstars teams you said fit better with ECW.
