This is an idea I have regarding the world title situation in the WWE. I think the two main belts should be unified, since Trips and Cena are on the same show now. The recent tag title unification makes me think they may head that way, also.
Also, I think the U.S. title should be renamed the RAW title, and the IC title becomes the SD title. Thus, we have the RAW, SD, and ECW champions as the top people on their respective brands, but the Undisputed World Champion is the WWE's top wrestler. This way, we can get rid of the nonsense of having three "world" titles, and just making the belts what they are: the top guy on their brand. The UNDISPUTED champion will appear on all three shows, thus helping the ratings a little bit.
Some other ways I think this is beneficial:
-It makes the ECW champion look like less of a chump. We don't have to pretend the ECW title is equal to the other two anymore, which no one buys anyway.
-Less confusion after the Royal Rumble. No more of this "which champion will they pick?!"
-MITB is a little more predictable, but easier to build a feud around.
While we're at it, they should unify the womens belts as well.

That's not that bad of a idea.

I wouldn't want this to happen. I personally don't see the need of unifying the titles if each champion is respective of his brand. I also don't think the ECW title is made completely in awe of both other titles or at odds with them, because it's not like it's anyone other than Dreamers current goal to kayfabe be champion.
Swagger held up well on Raw Monday so at least it's positive for the future, the brand wasn't ridiculously bad to them.
& I like the idea of the Rumble winner choosing in all honesty, because you could imagine someone like MVP winning and challenging one of the champions - If it were for the undisputed title match, it would be the same nest of wrestlers set to win it and it would be more familiar imo

See, but for years the thought of them basically saying "this guy is the best in the world...but only on Mondays" has been completely ridiculous. Also, I think a lot of the more casual fans or older fans would find it easier to follow if there's just one main champion.

I love the idea, but I would add the stip that you must first be your brand champion before challenging for the undisputed title. that way we still get the drama from money in the bank and the royal rumble, and keep the winners of these matches fresh while they inevitably rotate hhh, cena, edge and eventually orton through the undisputed title.
edit: i would have edge beat cena for the title in the last man standing match in some very controversial way (accidental ko from big show as he goes to hit edge?) so that smackdown and raw both keep a secondary title. i know some complain about too many titles, but the mid card belts can help certain guys.

I would say they should unify the WWE and World Heavyweight titles, unify the Woman's & Diva's titles, and keep everything else as-is.

I actually like this idea. A top title for each brand and then a WWE Champion who is the top-top champion. Will this idea happen? probably not.

I understand chances are slim, but..I can hope. Especially with the two champs being on the same show and I can't see them having either guy drop the belt.
