Watching this made me remember how much I hate Michael Cole. Can't believe he's still around 10 years later.

I'm surprised none of the men got a finger caught in that cell

There was a harness attatched to his back.

It was completely unecessary in my opinion. There was just no need for it and they were rightly criticised by the media for it.

I've seen a video before of an illusionist who did a trick where he hanged himself while he tried to free himself from shackles. It was on one of those Most Amazing Videos type shows. The guy basically had a harness hidden under his shirt that would hook onto the noose to take the pressure of of his neck. The trouble was his harness malfunctioned and the guy actually did hang himself(not fatally of course). It was this; a 2nd wire that we couldn't see, that was part of the thing Gangrel and the Brood set up. And it provided my absolutely favorite Michael Cole memory: after overselling the Bossman's apparent death, he starts shamelessly plugging the main event match as if we've all just accepted the Bossman's fate.

Ironically Edge was nearly killed during all this. The wire that dropped him from the ceiling pulled him up to fast and began to swing him around and almost sent him crashing into the Wrestlemania logo sign. When one thinks that only months later Hart was killed doing the same stunt it makes you wonder what the point was.

The whole Corporate Ministry angle wasn't exactly a high point for the Undertaker. He came back out-of-shape and it showed in the ring. It's amazing how good he's become in the ring the last three years. He got himself in shape and expanded his moveset.

From what I hear he hated the fact that Russo turned his character satanic and got rather apathetic. Thats why many rumorz state the WWF let him play the American Bad Ass character when he returned from injury as a sort of plea bargain to keep him happy.

We have to suspend disbelief big time when watching wrestling, but to think a guy would murder someone on PPV was just ridiculous. Not to mention, the guy who was hanged would just come back like nothing happened.
Russo HAD to be behind that.

I don't see it as any different than burying someone alive or setting a casket on fire while someone is inside it--they're basically "killing" people in those scenarios too.
I personally don't think they should fake deaths in pro wrestling, but you can't pick and choose which ones are more tasteful because of the methods employed.

I miss the Ministy of Darkness. One of my favorite versions of The Undertaker.

Quite obvious by the way his shoulders are pulled up that its a vest underneath that the ropes connected to.
Completely tasteless though, god knows what idiot decided to go through with that.
