With all the negativity going around to certain wrestlers, it's kind of hard to tell where the hate for the character ends and the real life disdain for actual person begins.
I remember everyone now and then, a really nice story comes out and everyone calms down for a couple minutes, and says something positive.
Has anyone have any good stories about meeting wrestlers that you don't really care for on t.v. but upon meeting found it hard to dislike them?
I have no specific experience, but I do remember stories of HHH being a nice guy off camera. From sponsoring Sean waltman's rehab( even though he went to TnA once he cleaned up), buying pizza for the fans in line waiting for the show to start, and of course Mr. Tenta's account of HHH treating him and his family with total class backstage at a nearby house show.

I met Christopher Daniels once, he's really cute. Spike Dudley is suprisingly attractive up close and he smells good, too!

That is okay that man knows how to clean up after a match. He must be married. . .

HHH was very kind to Quake when he visited. I hate him as a wrestler, but as a person, I guess he's not so bad.

Years ago, when the WWF only had shows at 4 different venues, they didn't have their own Security, they would hire out local off-duty policemen to walk the guys down to the ring, watch the door, etc.
My Dad got himself assigned to that duty since I was a big wrestling fan since it got me into shows for free.He also befriended quite a few workers and used to get me backstage alot.Thinking back,I honestly can't remember any of those guys ever NOT being absolutely cool and nice to me.I try to keep that in mind every time people get down on a certain guy as a jerk or manipulator or whatever.

Ya, we sometimes forget that their who they are in the ring is the opposite of who they really are. I have read stories of Kurt Angle and other who are class guys, but then we also have the horror stories. Lets not forget about Batista who, from that famous story seems like the classiest guy on earth.

what famous Batista story? There's this story going around, hard to tell if it's true (it came about during the beginning of the batista push when a lot of people started liking him), but the story goes that a young couple was having dinner att his nice restaurant (since the man had recently returned from service in Iraq, decked out in uniform and all), they didn't really have a lot of money, but they just wanted to celebrate and have a nice meal seeing as how he came back alive. Anyways this huge man in this nice suit comes up while they're eating and just wants to shake the man's hand and thank him for fighting for his freedom and all that good stuff and they chat for a little bit. When the couple finish their meal and go to pay the bill, the waiter tells then that the large man they were talking to paid the bill for them. Another couple tells them that the man was Batista.

Ya, he made a career off being a second or third Hart cousin. The Batista story is that he was at a resturant or someplace like that when some servicemen(?) walked in and he supposedly went over and thanked they for what they are doing and paid for their dinner. We all now that JBL is very ''friendly'' with the new WWE guys.

He is a punk who likes to start fights by starting rumors. He said that C.M. Punk isnt really starightedge and he has seen him drink and smoke, which cause the two to almost fight at a resturant. He also was banned from ROH because he got a ''concussion'' during a cage match and stopped selling and then attempted a moonsault off the cage and almost hurt everyone in the match.

I didn't care for the Midnite express, (didn't get nwa wrestling, and only saw one of them on wcw saturday night when i finally got cable), but one of them, I think it was Robert Eaton (trying to remember his blue blood name) is supposed to be one of the nicest guys.
In MIck foley's first book he tells a story of Eaton (I think) stopping to get gas, and while Mick's filling up he sees a homeless man sitting nearby, a couple minutes later when he's done filling up, he sees Eaton with his arm around the homeless man, now with a hamburger (or hot dog) in his hand and a new T shirt and he hands the man a couple bucks. That's classy.

He was also thrown out of a WWF training camp for his antics years ago.

My dad worked as an EMT for a house show last year, and met Stephanie McMahon. He asked her if she could get a replica tag belt signed for me (as a christmas present) by Triple H and Ric Flair. He said she took it, got it signed, and was very nice.

I never read ANY negative comments about Paul Levesque. everything I read from his interviews to encounters with him etc. from other persons show that he´s a really great down-to-earth guy
other ppl that seemed to be really cool ppl (from what I read) were Owen Hart, Tommy Dreamer, Bobby Eaton, Chris Candido, Henry Godwinn, The Godfather and Sean Waltman
