Here is the cover for One Piece Season 2, 2nd Voyage Most of this set episodes (10 of the 13 episodes) are episodes 4kids skipped over during their dub. The episodes in this set are episodes 67 - 79 (Yes, this we are finally going to see the Coby-Hemmplo cover story episodes and Little Garden dub in english for the first time ever). Again we should be thanking Funimation for saving this series.

Well, I have another anime recommendation today, since I'm kinda bored. Yeah!
Mononoke. No, it's not the movie produced by Studio Ghibli. Mononoke is a series of stories involving the mysterious Medicine Seller as he combats the supernatural Mononoke in Feudal Japan. Damn, I suck at summaries. Anyway, this is a spin-off series of Ayakashi -- Japanese Classic Horror.
Now, there are 12 episodes in this series, divided into several arcs that are about 2-3 episodes long. If you're interested in the supernatural, with some murder and mystery added in, then you definitely might want to watch this. The anime can be quite disturbing for some people, though. Some caution might be needed for those who are easily disturbed. There's a dead body in almost every episode, and stuff like the ghosts of aborted babies and a woman giving birth to mutant fish.
One thing that makes this anime a must-watch for me would be the animation. It is great. Hell, I'll repeat that. It's great. The episodes are colorful, almost similar to the animation style used in the Count of Monte Cristo and very fun to watch as the story moves along.
Anyway, instead of talking too much, here's some video clips.
Found a perview, yay:
And the OP:
And the OP to Ayakashi. I watched Mononoke first before I got to watch this:

Well, I just went on Play.com and bought the special edition of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vol. 1 DVD, featuring the first four episodes (whatever that means in this case, I'm not sure what order they are in on the disc) and a lot of extra stuff I don't really need but which seems cool nonetheless... and paid a small fortune for it. I suppose that'll make up somewhat for me watching the first season via, err, questionable means, at least when I collect all four special edition volumes...

Ok, I'll tell you. Ok, just to remind you all.....This is Astro Boy I was stuck with this little git for about a year and a Half, when I had to do a Essay on him. Ok, this is how this happened. All the class had to pick a piece of paper out off a hat, which has names of cartoon Animation. I was hoping to pick something like Dangermouse or Scooby Doo, you know, something I know. But my luck kicked me, and I ended up with Astro boy, So my teacher gave me, a bunch of videos with Astro boy on, and for a year and a half, I had to eat, sleep and occasionally lick Astro boy (Well, mostly the first two). So here I was, studing the little robotic sod, when I learned alot about the creator, Osamu Tezuka. I learned that the inspiration for Astro boy, was from Cartoons like Betty boop, Felix the Cat, and Mickey mouse. Watching a few astros, I did see some simularites between Him and Felix, not in character, but in style. So I decided to do a piece on Felix and Astro's connection. So I decided to learn to draw Astro, which was quite easy to do, Since I knew how to draw Felix. During the drawing as Astro, I discovered something, which I thought was meh, but After a while, I knew what I can do with this little discovery. Around the area of the college, there were these people, who loved Manga and Anime to death. Every breaktime, they would head up to the College library, and read Manga. Sadly, I had to go to the library to, and look for Manga, Since i'm bloody doing Astro Boy. So I had to push my way through, to get to the Astro Mangas. And that's when I was discovered by them....Oh god. There they were, sitting with their Yu-Gi-Ohs, Death Notes and , staring at me, like I've just kicked Haruhi in the face. According to them, I don't look like I'm a fan of Manga. Well, here I was 16, and average looking, and i'm staring at some 18/20 year olds, who looked like, they were trying to hide from a carrot. They asked me, what I was doing with Atom, and I said "I need it, for my essay" And they asked me what I know about Atom. and I said "Well Astro, was created from the mind of Osamu Tezuka, who was inspired by Disn..." and before I could finish, they started to laugh, and said he wasn't, since Atom was way cooler than Disney, and nobody likes "Western Animation". So, I just thought "Screw it" and left. So...I went to the library to...Sigh...get another Astro Manga, and guess who was back in their spaces. So they asked me what I've come up with this time. And I told them this. OSAMU TEZUKA IS A FRUAD They started to laugh, saying I was stupid, but I said...I'll prove it too them, So what I did was draw Astro. (Sorry for the quality, Still not good at using a tablet yet, and I promise you, the picture was much better on paper) Now this is where the magic happens, I erased the hair Then the Eyelashes, Eyebrows, and Nose Then I redrew the Nose, moved the eyebrows and made them thick, and coloured over the mouth And just add some extra details, and we're done (I know it looks like a Overhappy moon, but stick with me on this) While they were sitting there, trying figure out, what It was, I went over, tried to look for the comic, which I knew they had there, because If they had "Bone", they would have this, found a comic, and showed them this character. (Yes, I know the head is too big, but please...stick with me) And I said, "Osamu Tezuka Stole from Casper. Astro was created in 1953, while Casper was created in 1939" They were quite upset, that Astro was a rip-off. but since i'm a nice guy (Sometimes) I told them, that it was a joke, and Astro wasn't a rip-off. But I told them, that's how their Mangas and Animes, could have got their Inspiration from. They just got up, and left. I don't know if I changed their Ideas, on how Japanese animators and drawers, could have been inspired from Disney, but at least I didn't show them, what Japanese animation was like in the 30s.

B.B.M., I have to honestly say, THAT WAS AWESOME!
You took those bastards down a peg. Those are "anime fans" that real anime fans hate.
A real anime fan would know the history of anime and would know Disney and other forms of American animation heavily influenced early anime creators. In part thanks to the American occupation of Post-WWII Japan.
And now a lot of American animation is being influenced by anime, so the circle has become complete.

Yay to me, for I have finished watching five more anime this week~
Jyu Oh Sei: It's sci-fi, I guess, but the science fiction aspect is pretty light, even at the final episodes of the series. The story is decent, but with only 11 episodes it felt rushed at times, with a slightly confusing ending. 6.5/10
Gokujou Seitokai: Well, it's another one of those high-school setting anime with a random plot. There were some funny moments, but nothing amazing. 4/10
Kaze no Stigma: Slighty above average. 6/10
Kemonozume: Great anime. Crazy, violent, and very NSFW -- lots of blood, sex, and nudity. 8/10
Secret of Cerulean Sand/Patapata Hikousen no Bouken -- Best anime I've watched in a while. Great story; I'm not sure if it could be considered steampunk, so I guess the genre of this would be adventure. Not a NSFW series like Kemonozume, in any way. 26 episodes, and it doesn't get stale or rushed. 9/10
So far, I have only rated one other anime with a 9/10, and one manga. Yeah!

That's a pretty good story, BBM. And yeah, I see the resemblance between Astro Boy and Casper. And between Felix and Astro Boy.
And those guys were idiots, anyways. To think that anime can't be inspired by some other form of animation is a complete crock. They probably only thought that anime inspired other forms of animation. Hell, I think Dragonball was inspired by an old Chinese novel Journey to the West. So, yeah. It's possible that much anime was inspired by other animation. And that's why it's kinda cool.

I've been following the fan subs of Naruto Shippuden and it's pretty much the only show that is keeping me interested right now. Bleach was cool at first but has reached DBZ levels of pointless filler.
It's actually strange that I like NS because Naruto himself is rather annoying with his '-dattebayo' and John Cena syndrome (get your ass kicked for most of the fight then overcome teh oddz somehow).

Damn, didn't get to read that for some reason. It's funny, and awesome, in any case. A lot of anime are based/inspired by stuff that aren't even from Japan, so I never get people like those. I'm not sure if I'm being coherent, since I'm kinda sick again today.
For some reason, though, I've never met a crazy anime fan before, outside the internet. The closest example I've seen/met was a creepy guy with a fixation for a Yu-Gi-Oh card/character...

Same here, thankfully I've never had to deal with crazy anime fans. Anyway, has anyone here seen Sora Kake Girl? I've heard good things and need a new Mecha show.

Eyeshield 21's manga has finally reached its last chapter. Well, the final arc of the manga was a bit iffy at the start for me, and it pretty much stayed that way with a few nice parts. The ending was okay though~
