Okay, since no one has made a general anime discussion thread yet I'll make one right now. Discuss and/or ask anything anime related.
Anyhoo, one episode left before Code Geass is over! And if it ends with a cliffhanger, I riot.

My heart has stopped -- finally, I finished watching Code Geass R2.
All hail Lelouch! (little boy trapped inside me cries.)

I still think nothing has ever topped Cowboy Bebop, and likely nothing ever will.

The saying "crack is cheaper"(in reference to the price of anime) is completely true. Why?
Because we have to pay $35 for DVDs that have 4 episodes, unless the DVD is the last one in the series where it usually has only 3 episodes.
Hell, Hellsing Ultimate takes this to the extreme. $25 per DVD, but each DVD has only ONE episode!
And the voice actors and other members of the American anime industry wonder why we pirate/steal/watch anime online most of the time. WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY THE DVDS!!!!!!!!!

Vol. 2 of Fate/Stay Night cost me 50 smackers.

Big O!
In Action!
.....Cast in the Name of God...Ye Not Guilty *blinks*
....
If there is one anime that needs a movie that ties all the loose ends, it's Big O.

as of late, i've been watching Code Geass R2 and GaoGaiGar (wow, talk about polar opposites), i've also started to pick up the Funimation dub of One Piece (thank you buggy). I've also been watching this one series called Detroit Metal City, funny stuff if you watch it.

I find myself watching more anime from the 90's than this decade, save for a few exceptions like FMA.

Anime hit it's prime in the late-80's to mid-90's. There are TONS of shows from back then that I'm still interested in, but for the last year or so, the only series that looks worthy of my time is Death Note...

I'm half way through Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and it makes me curl up into the fetal position everytime I finish watching a few episodes. But yet...I can't seem to stop watching. I'm addicted to it.

I buy my anime only once they got on discount. Mostly I'll watch online or sample DVDs. I usually get some of my DVDs from discount dvd stores online or a used DVD store. As for samples, a lot of these from the old Newtype USA magazine made me buy a lot of shows (Desert Punk, Nerima Daikon Brothers, etc) Now with not much anime on TV, i'm taking shots at new shows from fansubs and i'm also starting to watch the old Tenshi Muyo shows online.

I get about 90% of my anime DVD's via US import. Much cheaper, not to mention a bigger variety.

Ah~ I still remember the scene with Rika and the knife. Fun times~. I'd post the youtube link, but it might instantly cause this thread to get locked.
