Note: About the Top Anime Character Countdown -- I'm copy-pasting every character info in one single file before I start posting. Expect the list to be back up by next week.

Out of curiosity, is anyone excited about the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? To be honest, I'm not, despite my constant posting of the Hare Hare Yukai dance and my infatuation with Kyonko. I will watch it though, mainly because of Aya Hirano.
Kyonko and Itsuko dancing the Hare Hare Yukai. Too bad it's incomplete:

just finished samurai champloo, great series, especially the last five or so episodes, but the ending kinda sucked. Oh and my biggest peeve was how none of them ever stayed f***ing dead, they must have died a dozen times through the series and yet the next episode they were back to normal

Somewhat anime-realated but if you listen to the audiobook of the Ask a Ninja Handbook on askaninja.com, one of the readers is clearly Joshua Seth of Akira and Digimon fame.
Guess the hypnotist work wasn't paying the bills ;D

I've started watching Hell Girl. Pretty good so far. Good series, don't think i'll buy the 2nd season DVDs, you pretty much get everything from the 1st. I just started watching Black Lagoon on the internet and it sucks i'll have to wait til December for the complete 1st season to come out on DVD, but I can wait and buy 2nd Barrage.

Hell Girl's second season was okay, and I'm watching the third season when it comes out, though I still think it's unnecessary. As for Black Lagoon -- great anime, actually better in English, I guess. Can't wait for the third season on that one, too.

They just got CLOSE to dieing. yeah, i exagerated slightly, but the fact they came back from so close to death really did start to grate and take away the impact of when they did get injured, the worst was at the end of the zombie episode where they blew up, but next episode were perfectly fine and it was never mentioned. I was also really hoping for a downer at the end where jin and mugen finally fight and then both collapse whilst saying something like "yeah we suck" i would have loved for them to have both died from over exhaustion/their wounds without getting to finish each other, but im weird like that. That gripe aside tho, i did f***ing love the show, especially the little bits of contempary street culture that were thrown into the mix

Out of curiosity, is anyone excited about the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? What, you mean that show that got too much publicity, and turned half of Japan into idiots?

Well, yeah -- I did ask a yes or no question after all. Anyhoo, I've watched two new anime series this week: Time of Eve (sci-fi) and Linebarrels of Iron (mecha).

Code Geass + R2 Monster Black Lagoon + Second Barrage Darker Than Black NHK ni Yokoso!/Welcome to the NHK Gungrave The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (movie)
and some new ones: Time of Eve Linebarrels of Iron Nodame Cantabile's second season airs this week.
P.S. If you've watched Tenjo Tenge, read the manga. The storyline is still confusing, but I guess it's better explained and the fights are way better.
